First band sounded fine, but there were some issues with Drab Majesty.
Drab is one of my favorite newer bands. They have this meaty dark sound that I love. đ¤
Drab Majesty never disappoints. Theyâre magical in every sense of the word.
I really love listening to them and their music is outstanding however not sure if it was them or the sound guy was too drunk, but their backing sounds were just way too loud that hurt my ears and couldnât listen to what they were saying, so I would go listen to them again if they fix the loud noise issues to sound just as their album does with no issues
inbetween sets were way too long. they kept fumbling with the guitar and the keys. couldnât understand any words that that sang. felt like i was being brainwashed in a way.
Great setlist great visuals....but either the venue or soundguy or band was slacking. Had to sit outside for a bit for a few songs because of it. Way to loud and distorted....couldnt hear the songs. It got better toward the end, but i still left feeling the work they were putting in onstage was not translating well.
Really pleased with this event. Getting into the Masquerade was a bit more convoluted than usual, but I appreciate that they were taking extra safety precautions. Body of Light started off the show, and honestly, the amount of energy coming off that stage was phenomenal. (You would've thought they were the main act!) Afterwards there was a bit of a break and HIDE performed. People seemed to be somewhat receptive of that performance (and personally that group's music was not my cup of tea at all.) Following HIDE, Drab Majesty was a bit late to the stage, but when they did go on, they sang and played and it sounded just like their albums, and I can appreciate that. They played a nice set, many songs from their newest album, and it was overall a good time. Just unfortunate it was so packed that there wasn't a lot of space to dance, but I'd see them again and again. Stellar show!
Why did it take 45 minutes for the headliner to get on stage. And the sound was terrible.
Venue was cool, intimate, mood setting. Opening act, Body of Light was energy-filled and exuberant! I wasnât familiar with them but they were great. Hide was completely captivating performance art. Drab was perfect. Up there in my top five list of best shows.
Beer, friends, dancing and a great show! Venue was dope and staff was friendly. Looking forward to my next event!
