It was a great evening. Sherri Shepherd was a great host. Loved the Dove honorees - Sandi Patty received on - her voice is unsurpassed. Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife received the new Uplift Someone award - love that award! Music was great.
The history of Fox Theater in Atlanta and its majestic backdrops and brilliant blue sky ceiling was a perfect platform for the Dove Awards on Wednesday, April 20. Along with the top Christian artists of our day, the long line of guests that graced the stage made for a memorable night. Whether you enjoy Southern Gospel or Gospel Rap or Contemporary Christian music each genre along with the lyrics pointed to THE ONE who we worship, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Make sure you put this event on your calendar for 2012!
This was our third trip to the Dove Awards and the music and talent of the artists were phenomenal. There were some great guests providing insite and commentary. The Fox was great, but unfortunately, it was not setup very well to handle the rapid switching between acts. This put the only dark cloud on an otherwise fantastic evening of worship in music and song. Overall, a tremendous event.
