RICKLES IS OUTSTANDING FOR HIS AGE!

by JimifromBoston on 9/28/16Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

I took my wife and dear friend who is 79 to this wonderful show to see this amazing comic icon Don Rickles, who was really the greatest ever. Understand that he is 90 years old, yet the wit and comic timing is still there. He can not stand up because of a leg ailment which he even mentioned in his act as to what happened. The class of this wonderful man can not be overstated. He even sang some songs and entertained us with incredibly funny moments on video including old Tonight Show clips and clips with Frank Sinatra and his greatest moments on the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts. Considering that most comedy shows go about 70 to 75 minutes long, Don gave us that and still managed to make the audience laugh as well as move them. Expect to be roasted if you sit up front. That has not changed. If you're considering seeing him, don't hesitate to go. Realistically there aren't too many chances left and if you don't go, you will regret it..... especially if you've never seen him.

    Don and Regis were entertaining

by Highness on 9/24/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Don and Regis were entertaining but not spectacular. Don was wonderful last year, but this year it just wasn't great. The sound in the first few rows in the front was low, and Don kept making reference to get better seats. But the sound quality was better in the rows in the back. We paid $129 for our seats and were very disappointed. Will not do this again.

    Delightful evening...

by reg0507 on 9/24/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

What's not to love about two icons reminiscing stories from their friendship over the years, highlighting many of Don Rickles performances. They were both so warm to the audience and seemed to enjoyed telling the stories as much as we loved listening to them. They are both treasures that should not be missed.

An Evening With Don Rickles was amazing!

by Anonymous on 9/24/16Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

What a privilege it was to see this comedy legend in person. My husband and I laughed non-stop! I loved all the old clips from the Merv Griffin Show, the Dean Martin Roasts, etc. So many happy memories from my childhood in the 1970s! Mr. Rickles is still so vibrant and sharp- his legs may not work very well, but everything else does. Loved the tribute to his mother. You know it's a good show when your face is actually hurting from smiling and laughing!

    Always great!

by Barrybase on 9/23/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Don Rickles is still the best, at 90 years of age. He is still quick with his comebacks. Regis was a good selection to be with him. Usually I don't like when a show is full of past video clips, but it worked with Rickles (whereas, it did not work when Jerry Lewis played the Bergen PAC a few years ago).

    What a great surprise!

by mfalso on 9/23/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I quite frankly did not know what to expect going into this event, given the advanced age of Don Rickles. I must say, he was amazing, sharp as a tack, and still possessing his razor sharp wit. It was a very enjoyable show. He and Regis are terrific together.

    Very Funny Show

by Cottentop on 9/23/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Age has not effected the comic timing or stage presence of these two veterans. The fact they have been life long friends made the performance even more interesting. The show consists of them talking about old film clips from television shows and relating stories about one another. While parts are clearly rehearsed, there was a lot of spontaneity on the part of both men. I thought it was a really funny show and laughed a lot. These guys are both up there in age, but still very sharp and play off one another very well. I felt kind of sorry for Don Rickles. He sat through the entire show because of a problem with his legs. But at 90 years, I guess you are going to have some health issues. I really liked the advice he gave people about family and health being the most important things in life.

    Don Rickles and Regis Philbin

by Glorel on 9/23/16Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Too many film clips, but once Don got started, he was hilarious. Brought back memories of Mr. Warmth - hasn't changed. Wish Regis had sung - at least do more than interview Don.

Don Rickles - A great show

by geenna on 9/21/16Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

Wasn't sure what to expect, but the videos from the "old" days were great. Mr. Rickles, although older and a little frail, still has it. He told great stories and sang songs and of course had fun"insulting" the audience. Was very impressed and happy that we got to see such a legend.

    Rickles hot and cold

by JBONTHEMOVE on 9/21/16Twin River Event Center - Lincoln

Its easy to see why you can hate or love the show and I think reviews will be pretty well split. It had it's moments like when Don was ripping on the crowd, but then it had the video highlights of his career. We have you tube now for these clips. It also had singing from a 90 year old which was in a strange way endearing, but not really what you came to see. the Biggest gripe would have to be the price of the tickets. Everyone wants to see the comedy icon, but the prices were way too steep for what you get.

    Rickles Rocks at 90

    by Birdman on 8/20/16Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

This was the 4th time I've seen Rickles at Potawatomi and he didn't disappoint. His mind is quick a a whip and the videos were a nice touch. I'll keep coming to see him as long as he continues to tour.

Extremely disappointing and I want my money back.

by BMannix on 6/21/16NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

I only gave this show 2 stars instead of 1 because while I was very disappointed, it was still cool to see 2 legends and one of the best at what they do on the same stage. Despite their age, they both look great and are sharp and witty is ever. But other than that, it was an unnecessary waste of money and time. It was basically Regis interviewing Rickles and a look back at Rickles career. They spent half as much time showing old videos than actually doing comedy. I spent money to watch one of the best stand up comedians ever show his craft, not watch TV. The show. This show could've been a lot better.

Don Rickles is too far past his prime

by Billm511 on 5/21/16Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

While I admire Don for soldiering on with his performances, it was almost painful to watch. His age and health have taken a toll and he was difficult to understand and had to stay seated the entire time - almost mumbling at times. Aware of his difficulties in performing a large portion of the show (40%) was screen clips of Don in his prime. I believe it is time for Don to retire from these type of performances - He was very funny once -but not now. This was more of a tribute than a comedy show.

    Disappointed

by bls6861 on 5/17/16Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

Was very disappointed in the performance. I love Don Rickles. The show started about 20 minutes late. Some of the show had excerpts of when preformed on TV. The audio and video did not match up. It was very annoying. There were times that Don mumbled and you couldn't understand him Over all performance was very disappointing. I wish I could of seen him in his younger days.

Don Rickles reigns as a comic legend!

by Cornplanter on 5/16/16Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

It was a nice surprise to discover that Don Rickles has retained his legendary status as a comedian of the century. His jibes and fun pokes were typical, and at the ripe age of 90, Don is proud that he gets "them on the nose". His orchestra was professional, and the shared videos of Frank Sinatra, his mother, and famous roasts that he has hosted were appreciated. Keep us laughing as long as you can, Don!
