    Great show

by Yaroslava on 6/5/18Ohio Theatre - Columbus

The show was great. Performance, costumes, backdrops were amazing. But be aware - no live orchestra (in case you expect that). Note to organizers: please provide libretto with the basic plot and names of the performers. Or at least post something in the theater where all can read and see. I was familiar with this ballet but some of my friends were not. Note to Ticketmaster: be more inclusive on Gender drop down list. And highlight the location address and closest parking garage info on your tickets.

    Awful show

by Busterdogbig on 6/5/18Ohio Theatre - Columbus

It was one of the worst shows I ever seen. Quality of the dance, decorations on a stage, lighting- it was awful! May be 2 main artists were good- rest of the whole group looks like the made a big favor to you to be on a stage. They looked angry, unhappy, ballerinas were different heights, one ballerina- I think may be she was drunk or didn't feel good- she was rocking herself and she was close to fall. In the second part all lights in the theater were on- I thought may be show is over, but no- it kept going and you feel like you are sitting in the rehearsal. Tickets are extremally overprices. I will not recommend this to anyone!

    Programs??

    by Natasha81 on 6/2/18Warner Theatre - Washington

Loved it all except the fact that there were no programs, where we could see who the dancers were etc. Other than that - I really enjoyed the performance!

Fantastic combination of Leonid and Yulia. As a college student in dance major the skills they showed are truly impressive and motivational.

by JosephIV on 5/22/18Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

Watching Don Quixote on stage performed by the National Ballet of Ukraine was an incredible experience. The costumes and choreography were excellent. If you enjoy Ballet then this is a must see.

    Don Quixote was disappointing!

by Operanik on 4/1/16Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

Not recognizing this ballet, but being extremely interested in the theme, I expected world-class ballet. Instead, I saw overly dramatic prima ballet dancing scenes and repetitious and monotonous entourage ballet dances. I also realized that great ballets have great music which stays in your mind as you watch the performances. This ballet had a continuous stream of country/peasant dances with music to match. The only compliment I can give is for the costumes, which were superb.

    LAB

by ClaudGo on 3/31/16Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

We truly enjoyed the evening at the ballet. So glad we didn't splurge with the seating because our balcony seats were the best in the house. Royce Hall is an intimate venue so we didnt strain our eyes. Binoculars not necessary. The only complaint for the entire evening was that the only women's restroom available prior to the doors opening for the event was locked. My female friend and I had no other option but to use the men's restroom.

Makes for a nice evening out

by CGChristian on 3/29/16Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

My fiance is into ballet. She says the dancing was very good and that the choreography wasn't too conservative. We were very entertained. The only critique we have is that the set and the acting of the story line could use some work. I have not read the book but there were a few scenes that were described in the booklet for the ballet where if I hadn't read them I would have been fairly confused as to what was going on. The story seemed to follow the young couple more than it did the Don. The windmill scene was a bit disappointing since they went through the trouble of bringing out a dummy but they had a group of dancers in front on the windmill so you couldn't see the dummy fall. I think the play would be fantastic if they accentuated the story just a little more. Overall, it was a good show and the dancing was great.

    Fabulous!

by booksmartist on 11/8/14Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

Wonderful choreography, incredible dancing and acting. It was immediately obvious that the dancers themselves enjoyed it. Wow! This will be one of my new favorites. I brought a friend along, and even though she was watching ballet for the first time, she was totally enthralled.

    Don Quixote

by Anonymous on 11/5/14Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

Far and away, the best staged Milwaukee Ballet I have ever seen. Michael Pink clearly showed he is a master of traditional choreography. Add the Ballet Orchestra, and you have a superb event.

    Mesmerized by a Dream

by Toeshoes7 on 11/4/14Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

Following the wanderings of our hero, Don Quixote, was both captivating and entertaining. We cheered for him, as we would want someone to cheer for us, even when the challenge is far greater than our abilities, or our realities Had the performance ended with the dream of his beautiful maidens, I would have been satisfied. It was one of the most mesmerizing acts I have seen. May all dreams be this magical.

    boring

    by mariamaria123 on 5/2/14Jesse Auditorium - Columbia

This was a very weak presentation. There was a lack of enthusiasm by the dancers, especially the female lead. Even the background dancers' clapping was off.

    Absolutely Amazing Ballet

    by balletmumto4 on 10/27/11Auditorium Theatre - Chicago

I took 2 nine year old Ballerinas to see Don Quixote. From the minute the music started until the end of each act the girls did not say a word. They were quite literally on the edge of their seats all night long. The quality of this ballet is exception.
