  • Wouldn't see again

by Momof2 on 4/8/25UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 2 out of 5

I'm not sure what I expected. We ended up walking out early, which pretty much says it all. Dog Man: The Musical just wasn’t for us. The acting was fine, but the writing left a lot to be desired. It didn’t hold our attention, and overall, it just wasn’t the best musical experience.

  • Incredible, perfect duration

by DJpnasty on 4/8/25UB Center for the Arts - Mainstage Theatre - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5

My son and niece loved it, everything was extremely prompt, very well organized, the intermission was the perfect duration and the whole musical was engaging for the youth. They did run out of snacks, but nevertheless doesn't take away from the amazing acting visuals and amazing sound engineers

Great time for all ages. Young readers who read the Dogman series were able to see their beloved characters come to life. A great gift for all.

  • Great Kid's Musical

by The Earnharts on 4/6/25Akron Civic Theatre - AkronRating: 5 out of 5

Our 10yr (girl) loved it. It was a great musical that kept her entertained and even taught kids about plays/muscials. Amazing special effects!!!

Definitely worth seeing. Very entertaining lots of laughs. The only negative is my son wished there was a second showing in our town.

  • The grands are still raving and singing about Dogman.

Kids loved the show and so did the grands. The actors seemed to enjoy performing for their mixed generation audience. I'd highly recommend this musical.

Cute, talented actors. Good length for kids Grandson was disappointed the actors didn’t pop out after the show to autograph his book. This us a kids show… Pricey night but would do it again for the joy my grandson experienced.

  • So much fun!

by Chinkerdink on 2/18/25William Saroyan Theatre Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed this musical. It was definitely not well promoted in our area but holy cow did we NOT regret going. There are laughs for kids and parents. The tunes are all very catchy and the production was family friendly. We would definitely recommend this show

  • Dogman the musical

by Shirley on 2/14/25Bob Hope Theatre - StocktonRating: 5 out of 5

Dogman the musical was a real joy! My 9 yr old son absolutely loved it! He knew exactly who the characters were & they captured the personalities perfectly! Wished there were more days/times available as he had friends that wanted to see it too. We drove an hour to see it on a school nite and it made for a rough next school day. Still would do this again since it wasn't offered in Sacramento

  • I LOVE IT!!!!!

I have a lot of dog man books and I’ve been reading all of them and I’ve been reading the one that is apart of the movie.

  • cute but costumes could be better

by LPH on 2/4/25Abraham Chavez Theatre - El PasoRating: 4 out of 5

My 9 year old and his friend gave the show 7/10 and 8/10 as they both thought the characters could have better costumes. I was surprised to see cardboard used as props.. though I get why as this is a musical written by 5 th graders (George and Harold). Overall we enjoyed it but wouldn't go back for a 2nd viewing.

  • Unironically the greatest thing I have ever seen

by CatalogK9 on 12/31/24Fox Performing Arts Center - RiversideRating: 5 out of 5

Brought my son to see Dog Man: The Musical, expecting to have some silly fun, nothing too crazy. The cast was not only perfectly chosen for their roles, but did not drop a cue or a note the entire time, despite running around, dancing, and acting (better than most of Hollywood) while singing their hearts out. I laughed, I (almost) cried, I was so thoroughly impressed that I truly believe this musical has ruined me for anything else. The set design was perfect, the plot made sense even though I've only read the first book (and still would have made sense if I hadn't), and the story and acting were the perfect blend of silly and heartfelt. This is really and truly the greatest piece of performance art I have ever experienced, and even though two of my tickets went unused due to illness, I still feel like I got my money's worth and then some. I will definitely be coming back then next time this show rolls into town!
