    Involving Musical Experience

    by W. on 4/9/19Apollo Theater - Chicago

This was a musical journey through time and a history lesson too. Learning the origin of the Djembe Drum and the way the music traversed continents was amazing. Audience participation and learning how to play the drum was fun.

    Awesome exeperience

by Melinda on 4/1/19Apollo Theater - Chicago

What a great show. My children and I had a great time. It was such a musical experience full of a variety of music and culture. We loved playing the djembe along with the performers. We learned a lot about the history of the djembe and how all music come from one place. The only issue I had was the space. It was a little crammed in the seats with the djembe, it was a bit uncomfortable.

Love Apollo Thester (not a bad seat in the house)! The show was great! So fun and interactive! All adults and kids in our group enjoyed this so much, while we learned about the history of music. Now we all want to buy our own Djembe drum and play st home!

    Fun and a good workout

by Bella on 3/26/19Apollo Theater - Chicago

I had a great time. You get your own drum to play throughout the show. It is inspiring to see how quickly a group of strangers come together to make music. It shows that we can get past our differences for impact if we choose to do so. As a bonus with the rigor and excitement of playing you get a workout as well. As well as a history lesson of the Djembe.
