  • Aura NYE

by Amanda Conway on 1/9/25Rating: 5 out of 5

The party went until 2am I was there and stayed until the end and it was still crowded. The crowd was very diverse and the DJ did a great job of trying to please everyone which is not easy to do on NYE. Someone obviously out to sabotage the event as there was a fire alarm pulled. Didn't stop it though. Dancer was great as well! Would go next year.

  • Phenomenal Night

    by Tiffany M. on 1/8/25Rating: 5 out of 5

We had such a good night NYE24! The music, lights, dancing, drinks, and vibe were top notch all night long til 2am. We regularly visit clubs in NY, Boston, and everywhere else in between and the party DJ Jay-C puts on rivals all of them and is definitely the top spot to be in Portland whenever he's throwing an event! Thanks again for an amazing evening, looking forward to next time!

  • Underwhelming

by dancing queen on 1/6/25Aura - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

We were hoping for as advertised "songs from the decades to dance to". Instead we got a constant rave beat and a guy regularly saying "it's only whatever o'clock"and air horn noises. felt like we were stuck in Jersey Shore 2010. meh just not my cup of tea but maybe that's what other's are into.

  • Too much of the same

by Dancing fool on 1/5/25Aura - PortlandRating: 1 out of 5

The music was loud enough, but by 10:30. I heard the same songs twice and they really sucked with all the good music out there. This guy needs to do a little more research. Add some different beats to his vibes.

  • Lower lights and updated playlist please

by Sorry to say on 1/3/25Aura - PortlandRating: 1 out of 5

Everyone likes a Nelly song once in a while I suppose as a hilarious throwback but the playlist was hilarious throwbacks to the point of exhaustion. Kid rock really? Sweet home Alabama really? Don’t stop believing really? I could go on. Would not have stayed if it wasn’t NYE. Just felt haphazard starting with fire trucks out front from jump. And why so bright in there? And I am half deaf and the sound was blowing out my eardrums. I sound like a curmudgeon I realize but trying to be honest because the venue seemed cool. Def back to Space Gallery next year.

DJ JC put on a great show he was playing some of the best music I heard the 2023 the music didn’t stop he didn’t stop. The crowd was going crazy and you’re having a great time. I think it was a solo crowd he didn’t stop he had two incredible dances up there dancing it was a party. He definitely killed it. DJ JC.
