  • A breathtaking celebration of Final Fantasy music

by ReunionPrelude89 on 10/15/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far the best concert I’ve ever attended! The orchestra brought the Final Fantasy series to life with incredible emotion and power. I recognized music from Final Fantasy VII, X, XII, XIII, XV, and XVI, and each piece was performed beautifully. Hearing “The Prelude Reunion,” “Let the Battles Begin,” “Zanarkand,” “Valse di Fantastica,” “Blinded by Light,” and “One-Winged Angel” all performed live filled me with so much excitement. The atmosphere was amazing, with about 1,900 fans filling the hall — it was great being surrounded by people who share the same passion for Final Fantasy. I’ve been waiting years to attend a concert like this, and it was everything I hoped for and more. If I could suggest one improvement, I wish they had included more music from other Final Fantasy titles, such as “Snow’s Theme” from Final Fantasy XIII, “Giant’s Fist” from Final Fantasy XIII-2, “Endless Lives” from Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, “Insomnia Ablaze” from Final Fantasy XV, “A New Operation” from Final Fantasy VII Remake, and “Mount Corel” from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I would definitely come back to another Final Fantasy concert.

  • Absolutely Amazing

This was my first time at Distant Worlds and it won’t be my last. The music of Final Fantasy will make you laugh and it will make you cry. Amanda Achen is such a talented vocalist.

  • An expensive one-of-a-kind experience

by Lexie on 10/7/25Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

I want to be clear I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. The concert hall was beautiful, and the music was an absolutely amazing and the visuals brought everything together, surrounded in a sea of people with all the same interests, but I do not think it was worth the price. I sincerely appreciated the work and talent of the musicians, choir, and the conductor, and I sincerely want to able to support the arts. But I feel like the price is a large part of the experience for me. Unfortunately, it's not something I think I would want to do again because it's a shame that experiences like this are way so expensive for an evening date night or a casual fan of the arts. If you don't mind dropping $400 and you love Final Fantasy maybe it's worth saving up for you.

  • Fantastic Final Fantasy musical experience!

by Marty on 3/17/24Rating: 5 out of 5

My sister & I had a great time! They played a good amount of stuff from our favorites, which are VIII, X and XIII. As one of the other reviews said: At times, it’s so well done and so captivating with the onscreen gameplay that you forget you’re actually in front of a live orchestra. I hope they don’t wait 5 years to come back to DC again!

  • A wonderful, nostalgic experience!

  • Fantastic

by Scooter on 3/6/24DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The choir was magical, the orchestra extraordinary. There were times during the evening that the music was so engrossing that you forgot it was a live orchestra in front of you.

  • Great Experience

by Sravan on 3/5/24DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

It helps if you are familiar with the Final Fantasy series and its music, but it isn't essential. Anyone can find enjoyment out of this experience. I love the added touch of showing scenes / CGI from the games in the background as they play songs from across the series. Anyone who loves music and/or video games will find something to love here.

  • An Awesome, Nostalgia Filled Performances

by Mannyfresh on 3/5/24DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

After a scary start, where Mr. Roth was walking up to the front of the stage, he then trip and fell face first. He stood back up, shook it off, and gave everyone signs that he was okay. When he got to the conductor stand, he jokingly said "Well, what a dramatic way to start the show, hey friends?"Everyone laughed. Almost all of the performances were amazing. One set had sound difficulties, where the speakers were getting feedback from the conductor's mic. The conductor and the orchestra had to wait until the sound team fixed the issue. All other performances were beautiful. A few notable music to name is the Prelude, Liberi Fatali, Vamo Alla Flamenco, and of course, One-Winged Angel. The DAR concert hall was a remarkable place with classic American fanfare decorations. All in all, it was memorable night of nostalgia, listening to pass and current Final Fantasy game music.

  • Great Music / Average Venue

by cb on 3/5/24DAR Constitution Hall - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

There was no information on when one could show up and get into the building. There was no information on what merchandise would be on sale and when, and it was difficult to find parking. On the other hand, the music was great, there was numerous ushers to assist in finding seats, and seating reasonably comfortable.
