  • THE PRODUCTION WAS STEPPED THE F UP

by Sarah on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

SO GOOD! We were unsure if we’d go again if it was going to be the same production as previous years, but this year was so different! Huge step up with the production from the projections to the stage lights. It was a unique way to experience the movie and I’d go again if it’s like this every year

  • Great Halloween Event

    by Jen-Jen on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great concert. Fun to go there for Halloween event, and to celebrate The Nightmare Before Christmas 30th Anniversary. Hope to go there again in the future.

  • Hollywood Bowl NMBC

by Dee on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 3 out of 5

The show was 10/10!! But I would NEVER go back to the Hollywood bowl. The parking is a literal nightmare. The show ended and we were trapped because the cars are stacked. They park cars in rows and the 20 cars in front and the 20 cars behind all have to leave so we can leave. I loved the show!! But would never ever go back to the Hollywood bowl.

  • Phenomenal

by Tiffany on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was absolutely amazing. Danny Elfman is a genius. The show itself couldn’t have been better even with Halsey ditching. The understudy was amazing. Halsey could never, respectfully. Got a surprise at the end with Danny performing an Oingo Boingo song with og guitarist. Only con to the show was that it was at the Hollywood Bowl. Parking sucks, traffic sucks. Was there nearly an hour early but because of traffic we barely made it. Walking back to the car is terrible. Everyone is shoulder to shoulder. Grabbed pizza before the show as it was the quickest thing, YUCKKK tasted like plastic. The performers and the orchestra made up for everything!! Recommend attending next year if it’s back again!

  • Show was great!

    by Yankees#1 on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great! Even with the Halsey not showing up it was great however the food was extremely disappointing! It was my daughter’s(age 9) first time at the bowl and I wanted her to have a great time. She got a pepperoni pizza and it was burnt to a crisp and they wouldn’t exchange for another one.

  • AMAZINGGG!

    by :) on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

This experience was so amazing to see and be a part of. Watching the concert was a dream come true of mine that I’m so glad to have witnessed. Would love to go some other time again :)

  • Never a dull moment

by IV on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

This is my third time going to this awesome show! It’s a great family friendly event. The kids had a blast and we loved staying till the end to watch Oingo Bongo’s performance of Dead Man’s Party!!!! Hope that they continue the show for many years to come.

  • Kept getting better

by JustClayps on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! I was blown away by the interactive decor, the orchestra, and all the singers. Danny is such an amazing performer and he kept giving us more and more to get excited. When Oingo Boingo came out, the crowd went wild. I absolutely loved it and highly recommend!

  • Disappointed

by FanGCH on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 2 out of 5

This was the 30th anniversary and have been to this show every single year, but this year it was quite different. We are at the pool circle area seating and the fog machine was behind a structure that was never been placed before. The orchestra was great, but the rest of the singing was just ok. It was missing a certain energy that it used to have. Regarding the placement of the wall for the fog machine. We were at the front and the workers were coughing and coughing and so did my daughters. I gave tickets to my friend for the Sunday show and she said it was drag. Also it is wrong to advertise performers who eventually never showed up. I don’t know anymore, I don’t think I’ll attend next years.

  • Fantastic experience...

by Rock On on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

EXCELLENT show! Danny Elfman is a musical genius, leading to the creation of one of the most iconic holiday movies of all time, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Having the characters sing with a full orchestra made the show so "life like...It was phenomenal .

  • One of a kind!

by Reza on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing. Denny Elfman, the supporting cast and the orchestra were clearly having the time of the their lives on stage and it transcended through the performance. Highly recommend it for any fan of the movie.

  • Great show but with a few absences

by Rick on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

Danny Elfman was spectacular and I finally was able to see this show live! The only thing that disappointed me was the cancelation of Halsey as Salley. I wish Paul Reubens was with us but may he rest in peace. Also would have loved to see someone replace Halsey like Catherine OHara. Great show non the less!

  • Amazing music, sounds & sights!!

by Unreal Show!!! on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve attended a few times and love it each time! I hope they do this for a long time!! Danny Elfman is great live, Ken Page and all the actors!!

  • Best Surprise From Ticketmaster

    by Stacy B on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Our little kids (ages 3-5) are big fans of "The Nightmare Before Christmas"so we decided to take them to the Hollywood Bowl for the first time and see the movie with a live band on the big screen. When we got through the entrance, a Ticketmaster rep asked me if I knew where my seats were and I guess "prom?"She smiled and asked if I'd like to have a garden box. I couldn't believe it! She handed us the tickets and made this first time experience at the bowl, for the kids and my mother who flew in from Florida to go, THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. The show was incredible and the weather was perfectly chilly. We waited in a long line for popcorn, but it was fresh and worth the wait.

  • Awesome fun at Hollywood Bowl

by JeffG on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Loved seeing Danny Elfman recreating his classic Jack Skellington character on stage with special guests! I would recommend it to anyone!! Young and old. Tim Burtons twisted Halloween 🎃 Christmas 🎄 combination is uniquely suited to the insane world we are living in, and much appreciated.

  • Halloween Halloween

by Nahid on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Loved! Had an amazing time! My son (5yo) loved this so much, he's adored this movie since he was 2.5, I've had to sign him all the songs to put him to sleep every season, for the past 3 years. He was amazed that it was live, he sang all the songs and danced in the aisle!

  • Beyond amazing!!

by Stuckey on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

I first attended this in 2016 and I loved it!! Sunday night was the so amazing! Thank you Danny Elfman, Catherine O'Hara (voice of Shock, and Sally), Ken Page (Oogie Boogie), Greg Proops, and the amazing orchestra for this memorable night out. Danny Elfman transitioned over to Oingo Boingo and did a couple songs and it was just amazing!!

  • Loved everything but the parking!

by Eldubb on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great! Loved seeing Elfman play Jack, really getting into it, as did Ken Page with his legendary Oogie performance. The ensemble was great and funny, too. I don't know if I needed the violin performance. After intermission I just kind of wanted to get it overwith. The real problem was the parking. It took forEVER to get out of there, as we were lined up like on a ferry, and everyone ahead of us had to go before we could. There were scattered cars that didn't leave when we did so we had to bob and weave to get out of there. It would be nice if Ticketmaster told us more about parking options, so maybe we could have parked enough away to get out in a reasonable time, or even leave early (we walked out after Sally's Song because our kids were tired and it was cold)

  • Amazing

by Sbp on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

This was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had when it comes to a film to live concert

  • Just a little crazy

by Untimely Concerter on 10/30/23Hollywood Bowl - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the show itself. The music was beautiful the storytelling amazing. My gripe is with the whole situation to park and be seated. From the direction we came there were no signs for our parking lot we purchased. The flow of traffic was awful. We had to drive around which added an additional twenty minutes after we had driven past the venue. We sat in R1 and we were a little late (maybe the first song). We went to sit in our seats and we were towards the middle of our bench. Well when we looked across there was absolutely no space in our seats. We ended up just standing towards the back to stay out of view, which was no issue because we were late but then we were told we needed to be seated, I understand safety and all that but we already felt like people in our area was annoyed from us trying to sit the first time. So we asked for help and then the attendant assisted us but also saw there were no available seats in our row. We felt so awkward just standing there in the aisle feeling like we were blocking views. They eventually sat us down in another seat in the row right below our purchased seats. With benches there should be more attendants to ensure guests are sitting in their correct seats because during intermission we heard some people behind us saying the seats were better than where they were supposed to be seated and then some people left and didn’t come back. It is unfortunate that people can’t just be honest when seating themselves but maybe more attendants actively looking at tickets might clear up some of the confusion. Again, I know my untimeliness contributes to this experience but it could help others as well. The show itself was beautiful.
