About

Beauty and the Beast is a Broadway musical with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and a book by Linda Woolverton. Based on Disney’s classic 1991 animated feature, the musical opened at the Palace Theatre on April 18, 1994 and transferred to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre five years later. Featuring beloved music from the film like “Be Our Guest” and the Oscar-winning “Beauty and the Beast” as well as previously unreleased songs like “Human Again” and “A Change in Me” and more, the show became the tenth longest-running Broadway musical of all time before closing in 2007. Beauty and the Beast remains a popular touring production across North America, with a 30th anniversary tour set for 2025.

The singing, the dancing, the lights, the orchestra! What a phenomenal show.

My 4 year old grandson turned to me at the end and said PopPop that was amazing!!

  • Bad seats

by Joanie on 11/5/25Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 3 out of 5

When I purchased front row seats for my granddaughter and I at $175 each, I expected to be able to view the stage without having our ears blasted by the sound system. Very disappointed with the experience. The price of those seats should have been much less than they were

  • Production, Pit Crew, Artists on the stage and their voices.

A must see in every way! A sold out venue and definitely well worth it!

  • Love the play not a fan of the venue

by Kiko on 11/5/25Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoy this musical. Seen it several times. My complaint is about the Music Hall. I spent the first half of the play trying to see around the people in front of me. Ended up moving to some empty seats we found that were on the front row of the loge. They need to figure out a way to terrace the seat so all get a good view like Kaufman. Just risers under each row of seats would do wonders for the experience

  • Breathtaking

This was a life long dream come true for both myself and my daughter. We had wonderful seats and a splendid time!

  • The show was superb

by Tamara on 11/3/25Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was wonderful! Was intertaining from the beginning to the end. I was however disappointed by the parking garage that you suggested for the venue. I would have has assumed that it would have been close to the venue but it was about six blocks away and I have a bad foot so that was very disappointing The show however, is highly recommended

  • Another outstanding musical, perfect venue.

Got fond memories watching this performance, characters were on point and perfect costumes and energy.

  • What an amazing night!

by Miranda W on 11/2/25Music Hall Kansas City - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was such am amazing performance! I wanted to return the next night but schedule wouldn't allow it. The voices were amazing and the performance, untouchable. I would say, as far as the venue, do not get the end seats on the front row. I paid the same high price but could only see half of the stage. Pretty disappointing. But, even with that, the performance was so grand!! Highly recommend!
