I did not enjoy this experience

by danyelle on 11/12/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

It took us 3 hours to get to the Hollywood Bowl from 45 miles away. It took us an hour and a half to get into the parking lot. We were all exhausted and the show was not as good as The Little Mermaid experience. There were a few live songs and it wasn't the same. Then it took us 2 hours to get out of the parking lot. The entire experience sucked and I am not sure I will be back. It was not worth the time or money we wasted.

    A night of Coco

    by M. A. on 11/12/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Family friendly atmosphere. The altar sponsored by La Monarcha Bakery was a great photo opportunity. The Hollywood Bowl staff was helpful and professional as always. I was not too impressed by the caliber of the singing performances though.... the lighting was gorgeous and it was very cool to see the movie on the large screen accompanied by the full orchestra.

Didn't really flow with the cuts to live performances that weren't from the film, didn't really make sense

From the start Disney did not disappoint. The audios from the live performances mixed in with the movie were on point. Visuals were amazing. We are so happy to have been able to participate in this most wonderful event!

    Awful

    by V. on 11/12/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The Hollywood Bowl parking situation was unreal. It took over an hour to drive the last .5 mile to get to the point where they said that all the lots were full. The show was at 8 and we were within the Hollywood Bowl area around 7. It was amateur hour, as if they’ve never hosted an event. They directed us down the road and we drove probably a mile away or more, there was one parking guard person, he said we’d just just have to find out parking out there and walk back the 1-2 miles. It was almost 9 before we got out of the traffic to even start looking for parking. We didn’t even make the show. It was our fault for not knowing that the traffic was going to be absolutely impossible, but the Hollywood Bowl equally prepared, managed, and executed parking ineptly. So, if you plan on going plan to be there 5 hours ahead or to pay for reservation parking way in advance, far away, otherwise this is a hot mess.

    Sound was off

    by M. L. on 11/12/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The sound was pretty bad. It didn’t live up to expectations. Maybe they needed more rehearsals- don’t know what it was but it all sounded off

    Could have been better

by Loves Mexico on 11/12/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

We assumed the actors would be on stage, doing the voices of the movie during the show. The dancing and costumes were amazing, but we could have done without Eva Longoria...she wasn’t even in the movie, and we were there to see the stars of the movie.

Not enough available parking at Hollywood Bowl

    by A. M. on 11/12/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I bought two tickets to the Coco show for Saturday Nov 9. When I arrived to the Hollywood Bowl my boyfriend and I circled through several parking lots at the Hollywood Bowl only to be thoroughly disappointed that there was no available parking. Thirty minutes after the show had started the parking attendants directed us to another parking spot that was far away from the venue and made us an hour and a half late. When we got to the parking spot that was also full. My boyfriend and I missed the Coco show that we were looking forward to at its announcement at the Bowl. Unfortunately due to not enough available parking we had to miss the performance. We were devastated to have to miss this once in a lifetime event.

Good show, well put together, but poorly rehearsed.

by Leora Reyman on 11/11/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

The show was great and they made great use of special effects and music. It was a good production that was well put together, but it also felt like some parts were poor rehearsed with minor mishaps and awkward elements. All together though me and my children really enjoyed the experience.

    Wonderful!

by Leah on 11/11/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Such a beautiful experience! The ofrenda at the front of the main plaza was amazing, so many people were there to add the names of their loved ones to the display. Excellent performances, the transfer of live performance with the film was seamless. I really enjoyed it.

    Could be better

    by C.D. on 11/11/19Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

    1. Parking at this location is terrible! You're better off parking in the streets and walking in because if you park in their location you are bumper to bumper with cars all facing the same direction and have to sit in your car until the people that parked before you come and move. 2. The show was basically re-watching the movie on jumbo screens. With only a few musical interactions. I was expecting a sort of live reenactment of the movie. Which they did have the characters (actors in costume) walk out in the beginning but were never seen again. The musical numbers were done by people in regular attire. They could have at least them in costume. 3. Food was bland and over priced. Would have loved to have "Coco themed" food instead. 4. Would have loved to see better Coco merch for sale instead of plain $30 shirts with the logo and $50 simple sweatshirts. 5. Didn't see the point of having the YouTube girl there "presenting" when Eva Longoria and Benjamin did a great job on thier own.
