  • It was OK

For someone who wants to learn a little about the ancient Egyptians, it's fine. For anyone well-versed in Egyptology, only a trip to Cairo to see the real thing would suffice. I have seen the golden mask in person, and it seems too perfect to have been made by human hands, but instead by their gods. The golden mask in this Las Vegas rendition is not shiny, perfectly smooth gold... no, this one is a matte gold. Looks like they used gold spray paint to simulate actual gold. This would be a great place for classrooms of kids to be exposed to archaeology, specifically Egyptology, and perhaps give them just enough visualization to really spark an interest and a desire to learn and know much more. It was a 4 until the spraypainted-looking mask display. A high res color photograph of the real object would have been so much better.

Please spend your money elsewhere. There is probably an online virtual tour of a museum better than this. I knew there would be no real artifacts but I had hoped for more of an experience being inside the tomb. And to put fake artifacts behind glass is hilarious. I’ve seen the real exhibit 3 times. Best to wait if it ever tours again.

One would think that authentic artifacts would be display or at least within view, but nothing of the sort. Dont waist your money view a documentary in the comfort of your living room instead.

Underwhelming to say the least a complete waste of money There are no real artifacts, fake plastic with golden paint.
