Disaster - The Funniest Show I Have Seen In Years!

by IQ179 on 3/22/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

From the beginning of the play until the final curtain I was totally engaged in the music and the humor! When I left the theater, my stomach actually hurt from laughing so hard! At one point during the play, part of the audience was actually screaming with laughter that the cast had to pause in their spot on the stage! The actor couldn't deliver his line for at least 30 seconds. This play had the best music, cast and lines EVER,

    Disaster was a Disappointing Disaster

by Theatermaven123 on 3/21/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Very cheesy and disappointing.... I laughed but it was not worth the price.... if I paid $25 per ticket then it would be ok. Something Rotten on Broadway was amazing compared to this and highly recommended..

Disater was Funny and the Music was super

by OzziNevets8 on 3/21/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

The show was really very well done! I had seen it off-Broadway a couple of years ago, and that is really the Best venue for this show. While it was very enjoyable, and i purchased tickets for my 7 siblings, it was better suited for a smaller venue. That said, it is a funny, well performed campy type show. If you enjoy 70's/80's music, you can't really go wrong.

    Extremely Funny!

by chhr88 on 3/21/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Wonderful cast, a great song selection from the 70's and a funny book. If you're a fan of the cheesy 70's disaster movies or love a good parody you'll appreciate this musical. While the show won't make you ponder the universe it'll have you laughing and singing along (hopefully in your head) to some of your favorite songs from the 70's. A very talented cast, highlighted by wonderful performances from Faith Prince, Rachel York and Kerry Butler.

    Disaster! was anything but.

by DannyR24 on 3/21/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Brilliant is the one word I would use to sum up this show. Laughed from beginning to end and I was having a rough day when I got there. Writing was amazing, taking the music from the 80s which I grew up with and making a show based off of those songs. Truly brilliant! I hope they decide to extend this show because I can see it over and over.

    Corny but funny

by Dspo2 on 3/21/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Cheap humor and gags but very entertaining and reliving the songs of the seventies for 1 evening is fun. Singers/actors were very good with great voices. If you are looking for deep meaning this is not the show for you, but if you just want to laugh and have a good time remembering the corny disaster movies and songs from the 70's then this show is well worth it

by 1amwho on 3/20/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Enjoyable evening full of laughs and put old familiar songs into a different light...gave life to all the cliches of disaster movies and showed why they are cliches...perfect way to cheer up a dreary winter evening

More fun than I could imagine

by 7Thunders on 3/19/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

It was a blast. I thought it would be good, I didn't realize how great it was. Every single actor that came on stage delivered the laughs. Not one person was a dud. It's so good that I am seriously thinking about going back with another friend. I was really impressed with how they worked the songs into the dialogue. HILARIOUS! There is a little kid playing the twins and he was so good. So funny

    Ton of Fun!

by JerzguyinBrooklyn on 3/16/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

I went into the show thinking it was just going to be a jukebox musical of disco tunes, but the show is so much more. The script is hilarious. The actors killed in their roles. My family had a great time at the show. Thanks to this show I've been singing "Hot Stuff" to myself for days!

    What a fun time!

by EnidZ on 3/16/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

We really laughed a lot at this delightful show. It was not the best thing I have ever seen, but it was fun. We knew all the songs (except maybe one). And the actors all had great voices. The characters of the nun and the twins were by far the best. It was worth the time and money. But do not get the front row mezzanine seats in this theater. They have a bar across that blocks your sight line unless you are 6 feet tall, and the seats are on a slope (the floor appears to slope) so you find yourself leaning at an angle or trying not to -- most uncomfortable experience for all 6 of us in that row.

    Delightfully Funny!

by GranbylovesBroadway on 3/16/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

For those of us who grew up in the 70's, in the days of Disco and Disaster films this is a delight! the interplay of the music and the story line are brilliant and if you want a laugh and a fun filled evening this is the show to see. What it is not is intellectual or heavy, its just plain good fun and silly and a treat!

    Disaster, it wasn't

by Joerf48 on 3/16/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

A send up of the Poseiden Adventure, Disaster was campy, funny and delightful. Great use of music, staging and costumes. The cast was great. I had no idea Seth Rudetsky could sing and dance so well. I knew he was a great musician but now I've enjoyed his other talents. The highlight was the young man who played the twins. This kid has a great future. Thoroughly entertaining. Go see it.

    A REAL DISASTER

by 69SAGAMORE on 3/16/16Nederlander Theatre - New York

Amateur night. Really? A Broadway production? A few clever moments, some excellent voices, dancing, but otherwise just sophomoric. And Seth Rudetsky casting himself was a joke. He was terrible. Sorry. Everyone clearly worked very hard, looked sincere and involved, but the material was just not of the quality to pull it off.
