About

Dirty Heads are a reggae rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Consisting of lead vocalists and founders Jared Watson (Dirty J) and Dustin Bushnell (Duddy B), along with percussionist Jon Olazabal, drummer Matt Ochoa and bassist David Foral, the band was formed in 2001 and immediately evoked the spirit of bonfire barbeques and summer road trips. Dirty Heads’ appeal is rooted in the infectious reggae grooves of songs like 2017’s “Vacation,” which became a viral hit in 2021 as the sound behind the #VacationTransition trend on TikTok. The band’s breakthrough hit was another “song of the summer” contender: “Lay Me Down” (feat. Rome of Sublime with Rome), which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts. In 2021, the band released The Best of Dirty Heads, a compilation album featuring Travis Barker, Aimee Interrupter of The Interrupters, Matisyahu, Train, Tech N9ne and Rome. Dirty Heads have hit the road with artists such as 311, O.A.R., Gym Class Heroes and Lupe Fiasco, and more.

    This show was really great. AER was unknow to me but really enjoyed their performance. Came for Pepper and they were great and impressive. The Dirty Heads weren't the reason I went to the show but rather Pepper. However, I came away from the show really appreciating the Dirty Heads as their performance was spectacular. Their music style comes across with such fluid motion when seeing them live!

    Most exciting well performed concert I've been to in decades. Love their genre love their style. Don't lose your heart DH this is what's it's all about. Also want to do a shout out to Pepper you guys rock!!!!

    As always, Dirty Heads absolutely melted faces... was well worth the wait to see them again. They played an amazing set, almost twenty songs long including a 3 song encore! Pepper was pretty good too... for my first time seeing them live I was not disappointed. Aer was very enjoyable.. a lot of energy in the music but I would have loved to see them instead of just hearing them... the reason for this is that Kontasto, the band that was supposed to open, never came on... so while we here hanging in the lot waiting for the music to start to head in Aer came on instead and were done by the time we made it through lines and into the venue...

    Amazing show! Pepper seriously brought the energy. They always do. The Dirty Heads rocked it, as always. I've already seen Pepper 5 times before and The Dirty Heads 6 times before and I feel like every show I go to gets better and better.

    This was a great concert! They played a great variety of old songs and new the crowd was so involved it was a lot of fun. I will be sure to go to every Dirty Heads concert from now on when they are in the area. The venue was also great it wasn't too crowded which is very surprising since it looked packed and was a sold out show! I could see the band and still had room to dance to the music. It was one of the best concerts I've been to!

    My husband and I have seen the Dirty Heads a few times. It was so sweet when they played Paint it Black at Festival Pier a few years back :) This year, at the Great Plaza, was great too! I love that they played Burials, off their new album (and others), but I was really happy to hear older stuff too. Can you guys play at the Electric Factory next time?? I love that venue. Can't wait to see you again!

    Most amazing concert I've ever been to. And to make it even better, Dirty J came out afterwards to take pictures with some of us who had waited. He was so nice! Pepper was ok and Katastro was awesome

    Pepper puts on one of the most high energy shows I have ever seen. They clearly love what they do and it shows in every single song they play. I've been dying to see them for years and I was not disappointed. The dirty heads exceeded all expectations and has the perfect blend of old and new material. I cannot recommend going to this show enough. I loved every second and would go a thousand more times too. The stoke is pure.

    First time at the Fillmore Detroit for the four of us. Theater was gorgeous. Balcony seats (first row) were the best in the house. All four bands were great. Wish Aer would have had a longer set but besides that, it was a great show.

    Love Fillmore's character and environment for every show. Always have a great view no matter where we sit. Well organized, line for entry was flawless! Sometimes sound quality is on and off, i.e. Speaker/microphone fun. The Dirty Heads were out of control awesome! The love for their music speaks loud and clear in their show. The go hard core and leave you with wanting nothing more, except more of them!!!! Thank you for an amazing night guys!
