5 star show. Love the show. The opening act was pretty good. Good live band. Finally able to see Digable Planets for the first time. The live Jazz Band sounds better than the Jazz Samples on the album. Smooth Hip Hop. Performed most songs on the First Album. Wished they would have performed Swoon Units. Ladybug so fine. Good Chemistry. Perform a few songs off Blowout Comb. Ecstatic to hear Jettin live. Next time needs to play Black Ego sampled from St. Louis Jazz legend Grant Green. Overall Good Vibes. Jimi Diggin Cats. Next time Ladybug needs to perform some of her solo joints and Butterfly needs to perform some Shabazz Palaces songs. Peace God 7 and a Crescent.
This concert was everything. It brought out so many different people; I loved the diversity.
who obviously couldn’t handle the booze but other than that, the show was incredible. The opener (Kassa Overall) was the perfect fit for the evening. Digable planets took the stage and exceeded my expectations. I’m from out of state but have enjoyed my times at Delmar Hall and will be back.
I’ve been to a lot of shows, A LOT, DPs show was one of the top shows I’ve been to. The energy, the love, the connection to the crowd was amazing. All the way down to Butterfly and C-Know coming out to greet us was amazing! Thank you
I was transported back to another time. The musicianship was TOP NOTCH! So much talent and love. It brought me immense joy! The opening act Kassa Overall & Flu Note were awesome. So glad I got to witness it!
This show was absolutely fantastic!! It started on time. The opening act amazing. It was worth every dime!!
The concert was AWESOME! My friend and I were amazed by the band and how good everyone sounded on the mic! Digable Planets are the best.
The show was superb, had a great time, only thing the fire alarm went off,But still a Great show and they came down and met and Greeted everyone.
The insects moves vary! Wow these bugs lit up the night for a sold out show. Even after 30 years, since Reachin’ came out, this trio is smooth! Ladybug, you amazed us. We yelled for MORE ladybug. We love you! We love that y’all came down and shared your excellence with us. If you don’t know, now ya know! Fun to see old 45-50 yr olds like myself, mixing with a young crew lucky enough to find some dusty DP cds.
High energy performance, such a great group with immense talent. The live band is amazing, and the experience at this venue was everything I could've imagined. If you get a chance to see Digable Planets live, don't hesitate!
so much fun! the music the crowd and the venue made this concert super groovy!
The Neptune is a great place to see a show as long as you don't stay at the back of the floor where the bar is. It's way too noisy with incessant talkers chatting their way through the entire show. Once we moved up to the floor everything was good to go. I've seen Digables probably five or six times in the last 15 years and this was the best performance I've seen then put on. They don't play live much and sometimes don't have the three original members so it can be a little hit and miss sometimes. Don't get me wrong. They're always fun to see, but I really want to see the original trio. They used a live band of local Seattle musicians for this show, and it was absolutely incredible. Great musicians, great sound, and a serious groove party. That's exactly what I want at a Digables show.
I wish that I was told ahead of time that all of the music that originally accompanied all of these lyrics for all these years would be replaced by a live band. This live band also drowned out the vocals most of the time. Had I known, I wouldn't have hesitated to skip the show all together. There was also a family on the floor with a dancing pre-teen and a toddler dancing amongst all these drinking adults. Really wish I could get a refund, lol. Oh well.
Legendary group with a live band that was off the chain. Much love 4 digable
The band was great. My first time at this venue. I don't like the standing for the whole show. Start time was not correct so I was there too early. Not cool. It wasn't sold out so that helped me enjoy it more.
Incredible show, already awaiting their next performance in the Boston area.
Sadly, this reunion of a pioneering hip hop act was quite disappointing. The band was not tight at all, and seemed not to have rehearsed. The singers appeared to be sleepwalking through the set, and there was zero chemistry. Adding to all this was the fact that the sound mix was awful, and never improved. I'll always appreciate what they brought to the world back in the day, but I hope to put this sad-sack performance our of my memory.
The Planets were excellent and backed by a super solid set of pro musicians. The sound especially the singers mikes were bad again as they were for Kimbra earlier this year. Sound was very poorly balanced.
Digable Planets puts on a great casual show. They were backed by a live band and they sound wonderful. Still as much energy as when their albums first came out.
