This is the 2nd time I've seen Devendra perform, and he was even better than 3 years ago. He and his band were "on" - and they were firmly in sync. The energy and camaraderie between them improved their performance. I'm a big DB fan and I enjoyed hearing him perform songs from his multiple albums, not just the latest one. The biggest crowd pleaser was "Sea Horse", during which DB + band rocked it! The opening act, Rodrigo Amarante, was quite good and is also part of Devendra's band. I look forward to purchasing one of his albums.
My biggest criticism was the acoustics at the Synagogue. While the venue is beautiful and very comfortable, there was constant reverb at the middle notes, just where most of the lyrics are sung. As a result, it was hard to hear DB sing a number of his songs. It seems that there's an echo problem in the synagogue, particularly caused by the electric guitar.
