The manager Jason was friendly, the waiters were nice, and there was room to dance and be in the space among people. The DJs were very focused on making the sound fun for everyone. The lighting could have been more involved. Overall the night was safe and laidback.
The experience has a lot to do with whatever production company has put the show together, but the Uptown has the largest/most helpful/kind staff out of all the venues i go to in KC… From the people working the door to let you in, the security that checks you in, staff that walk around to do wellness checks, bartenders, bathroom concierge (yes they had a bathroom concierge!!) the Police officers, nobody was looking to start a problem, or invade your personal space. They respect everyone and only interfere when something rowdy happens. 10/10 would recommend. The only thing i would change is food availability…
