He had tons of new material and kept us laughing from beginning to end!
This is the second time we’ve seen Dimitri and he certainly did not disappointed us😊. His humor and wit was nonstop! Look forward to seeing him again. I told a friend about it as well and they came with us and loved it also and said they would love to see him again.
Love the Headliner Demetrii and I very much enjoyed the Comic who opened for him Richy Leis
Loved his show- observational joke comedy. Very funny and glad we got to experience this for my boyfriend’s birthday.
This is the third time I’ve seen Dimitri Martin and he never disappoints. His great. The show was funny and the opener was great too. My only complaint would be that it was too short. The tix said 8:00 and I think the show started right on time. We arrived at our seats around 8:15 and missed much of the opener. The whole thing was over by 9:30. So get there early!
This man stood on a stage and held the attention of hundreds with comical language I found humorous as did many in the theatre. much giddiness ensued.
Demetri has very good marketing. I saw some of the trailers on the internet and thought he was funny so I bought tickets. He is not as funny as he thinks he is. His ending with the guitar was terrible. He's not very good at guitar and he didn't say anything funny while playing the guitar. Terrible ending for a mediocre performance.
Demetri’s opener was awesome. It helped that he was from the area and had some great Florida jokes. When Demetri came out, the crowd was revved up for that same level of fast-paced joke telling, which is not Demetri’s style. The first couple jokes feel flat after he brought up COVID and how he didn’t really have a lot of material that covered current events. We, as an audience, already knew that. His jokes about “dogs and balloons” were just ok. The best part of the show was his notepad of funny material that played like a late night talk show host playing a game with the audience. Think Jimmy Fallon’s “Thank you notes” skit. The night’s finale was Demetri trying to do some crowd work and admittedly, the crowd was giving him almost nothing. It was an ok show and we had a fun night. It wasn’t worth the money though, mostly because there wasn’t a lot of new and innovative improvements to his earlier stuff.
We know it was new material.....can't wait for the special to come out! 90% of it was hysterical in the best Demitri Martin way!! The rest was just funny. Flipchart forever!!!!
I’ve traveled to seen Demetri since 2010 and love seeing him EVERY show! This time, I even traveled to Florida from Wisconsin and introduced to him to my family. What a fantastic show, Demetri was hilarious, had new material and even shared the spotlight with a couple who are now engaged. The venue was awesome and staff were friendly and helpful.
we had a little trouble with the online ticket when we got there but the staff was quick to assist. The opening act was funny. Demetri was awesome. We had a great time.
Demetri Martin never disappoints! Was such a hilarious time from start to finish!! Until next time.
Loved the show, Demetri was great, enjoyed the opening act and love the size of Hard Rock live. The small issue I had was a constant humming noise, likely from a speaker. Had this been a music concert it would not have been noticeable, but for stand up comedy act it was a small distraction for the entire time.
Dimitri Martin has still got it. The perfect escape from reality with fantastic jokes and a talented opener. Overall an awesome evening.
Not a ton of cursing which some comedians rely on for laughs.
I’m a huge fan who watched him previously on Netflix alone. This new show is equally terrific , that style isn’t for everyone but if you look dry humor, short jokes and a lot of puns, he is by far the best ever in this genre. I don’t think I’ve laughed as often as hard
Demetri Martin never disappoints. He has a unique comic voice. He isn't edgy, or topical, or provocative. He is an everyman who shares with the audience his comedic view of everyday life. His free flowing, offbeat deadpan observations remind me of Steven Wright in his prime. Martin's drawings and accompanying commentary are both exceedingly clever and very funny. One highlight of this act was a cleverly staged ventriloquism act in which he had a discussion with a low level demon in hell. The demon was trying to work his way down (the lower the better in hell) by coming up with daily annoyances on earth (plastic vegetable bags in grocery stores that are impossible too open; traffic lanes that turn into "Right Turn Only" lanes without warning, etc.) It is refreshing to have someone find humor in the common frustrations in life. Much of his Martin's humor is self-depricating and when he is done you can't help but like him because, despite his success, he is just trying to get by day-to-day like the rest of us.
He's hands down one of my favorite comedians and he didn't disappoint. He's basically a genius and I'll see him live every chance I get.
Demetri was good, as always. I wanted to commend the Wilbur staff on an extremely efficient entry process. Considering freezing temperatures and a biting wind, the staff got the crowd into the theater in record time. I was ready to battle frostbite, but I was taking a sip of my first beer before I knew it. Kudos, Wilbur. You hit a home run.
The jokes were dry, the comedy was sub par. It seemed to be a hit or a miss with the remaining audience. Some laughed the entire time and from others it was crickets. This isn’t the kind of show that everyone would enjoy.
