Life long theatre geek and admitted theatre snob
by Tobiebrave on 5/7/24Cadillac Palace - ChicagoThe show overall was extremely fun, funny and just generally entertaining. The costumes, sets and lighting design were all stand outs in their own right. The opening number alone was worth the price of admission, with Megan Hilty's Liza impersonation being a must see. Dialogue was also great. At one point the actors had to hold for what seemed like forever while the audience howled with laughter. I did feel that Act I should have ended in a different place and that an ensemble number in Act II should be cut. It did not advance the plot and seemed like a set up for a single joke. Perhaps it was covering or costume change, but I didn't think so. Overall, I highly recommend.
