Dead Sara was unbelievable. I didn't get to see the first band, but the second one was not that great.

Dead Sara is the greatest rock band ever

by Cleankiks on 5/11/13El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

Dead Sara was amazing!! First of all they are the nicest people you'll ever meet. Truly awesome peeps. Their show was just ridiculous!! SO much energy and they sound fantastic live! Every song is as crisp as the album but even better because its live and you get that amazing raw energy that you only get from live shows. Emily Armstrong is the goddess of rock incarnate...soooo naturally raw and vibrant, her vocal range is exceptional, her stage presence is incredibly powerful yet approachable. I love this band with all my heart.

    Dead Sara Surprisingly Awesome!

by Will2012 on 11/21/12Balloonfest-Wet-n-Wild Water Park - El Paso

I saw Dead Sara for the first time when they were one of the opening bands for Buckcherry at the 2012 Balloonfest in El Paso. I had never heard of them before that and wasn't necessarily planning on checking them out, but their name and the concert bill photo intrigued me. I actually thought they were going to be some kind of "goth" throwback band but they weren't. Simply put, they rock. I've been seeing concerts for years - I've seen everybody from classic rock in the 70s (Stones, Aerosmith, Dead, Floyd) to the "alt" bands (Cure, REM, U2) and hard/rock metal bands (Metallica, Cult, Guns-n-Roses) in the 80s, to alt/grunge (Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains) in the 90s, to various Rock acts (Black Crowes, Godsmack, Incubus, Audioslave, Velvet Revolver) in the 2000s, and Dead Sara are a "must see". I don't want to try to describe their style - get the CD or check out their videos on Youtube. I can tell you this though, the lead singer, Emily, is fearless and can sing her ass off. She can give you goosebumps and make your short hairs stand up. Siouxsie, who will probably readily admit she's not a "monster lead guitarist " IS very skilled and her guitar work is EXACTLY what the songs need. She can play tasty or hammer inventive power chords that will have you fist-pumping the air. Needless to say, I immediately looked them up online and bought tickets for Phoenix, AZ and Las Cuces, NM where they were on the Vans Warped Tour. These were shorter-length performances for the band but they still rocked...and they're good people too. I had my photo taken with them at each of the events and easily engaged them in conversation. That may not be a possibility for long though because if their label and managers grow them and steer them right...they should be huge. They're touring with Muse now and opening a festival with Godsmack. That's a good start.

    Holy Crap

    by blackgu1tar on 10/13/12Pomona Fairplex - Pomona

They released their debut album in April and they've already played on Jimmy Kimmel, toured with Chevelle, the Used, The Offspring and have just recently announced thir tour with Muse in 2013. Thie band kicks ass. Get your picture with them while you can. They're seriously the next rock legends. Following in the footsteps of Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine.
