    Disapointed in Meet n Greet

by Karla2 on 9/11/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

Davy Jones was good, but I really missed the rest of the group...the songs just weren't the same without them. I expected more from the Meet n Greet. They were pretty expensive tickets and we couldn't even get a good picture of them. No pictures were allowed during the concert and then the room was too dark during the Meet n Greet and the usher wouldn't let me leave my seat to get close to them. Really expected them to let each of us come up and have 2 minutes with them...to say something, get an autograph and take their picture.

Great show lots of energy,David Cassidy sang "I'm A Beliver" with Davy Jones and they also sang their all top hits a must see for 60's and 70's TV fans of the Partridge Family and the Monkees:)

Very little stage performance by both...should have sung more of their more popular hits...could not hear most of the songs clearly.

Cassidy just doesn't have it any more

by Ricanne on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

I was ok with David Cassidy filling in for the Monkee's Peter and Micky. Davy Jones was very up beat and did a nice job singing the Monkee songs we all loved. His opening act was less than inspiring. David Cassidy seemed to really try and perform at his best but fell short. He was off tune and off beat many times. His profuse sweating was a real turn off. I just wanted him to stop.

Had such a good time with David and Davy!

by eagaduga on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

Both guys are fantastic showmen, and even though David was obviously ill that night (he kept apologizing!) the show was great -- a real trip down memory lane. The Meet & Greet afterward was a disappointment. The two guys were on stage in front of the curtain sitting on the most uncomfortable-looking high stools imaginable. What, they couldn't give them canvas director's chairs?? The audience sat in our seats in front. But the stories the two told about the old days were fun.

    So much fun!

by Deenie16 on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

I thought the show itself was awesome! Both David Cassidy and Davy Jones were fantastic and very funny! I was disappointed that what was titlted as a "Meet and Greet" was a 15 min Q&A session with no autographs. I think that should have been listed as a Q&A seesion instead. My cousins and I thought we could take a picture with our idols and get an autograph, but we couldn't.

David Cassidy and Davy Jones were fabulous!!!!

by thebead on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

Having seen Davy Jones perform here at Bergen PAC several years ago, I was so excited to be able to see him perform here again. His shows are always fun, full of Monkees hits and funny stories, and Davy remains a true performer. The addition of David Cassidy to the bill made this an unforgettable event. Having loved David Cassidy since my childhood, I always dreamed of seeing him live. And David Cassidy did not disappoint. His performance was wonderful - Partridge Family songs along with several other songs that he performed to perfection. Everyone around me seemed to be enjoying every minute of this concert as much as I was. Kudos to Bergen PAC for bringing these two TRUE American Idols to their stage.

    Davy Jones/David Cassidy

by wrinklehead on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

I was very dissappointed with the so called meet and greet. Was only a 20 min. Q&A and more people than I expected. We did not get to meet Davy or David so I would not consider it a M&G. I also traveled 2 hours up and back in the rain and floods from Philadelphia that evening.

sat clapped and sang the entire show

by dancinfoolinbalcony on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

The second David Cassidy returned for Davy Jone's encore the crowd went wild and i was out of my seat too for the first time the moment david said everybody get up and I danced long enough for them to wave themselves off the stage (fortunately Im a Believer was also an encore song too and the shortened version) or else I would have been too winded to make it down from the balcony -- Great show guys -- next time orchestra center up front !!! :)

    Monkee Business

by BergPACstinks on 9/9/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

There was suppose to be a meet and greet - could not get near Davy Jones or David Cassidy. Poorly handled. There was a barrier between fans and the stage where they answered long distance questions. They still think that it is 1970 and they need a fence between them and the stage... no one is throwning paties at them anymore... maybe depends at this point. they are so full of themselves. The whole thing was a disaster.

They were better than expected. They put on a great show. If they ever come back I go see them again for sure. Their show was better entertaining than their old TV show

Hey Hey, The Monkees are still FABULOUS!

by Beverly2010 on 6/14/11The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

The Monkees put on a fabulous show. No one would believe these guys have been around for 45 yrs. Vocals were wonderful, their band was great! They played most of the songs that made us love them then, and love them now. Very high energy, by the end, everyone was on their feet, singing and dancing. Davy, Mickey and Peter seemed to genuinely enjoy being together again, the harmony was evident. My husband and I loved the show, it was worth the trip from Cleveland!

From the beginning to end the Monkees sounded fantastic, were hysterical, and enabled all of us to go back in time.

    Monkees Still Have It!

by ECBuffalo on 6/13/11The Avalon Ballroom Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Caught the act in Niagara Falls, Canada on June 11. The played an awesome set filled with really obscure songs known only to their most ardent fans...Stuff I NEVER thought I'd hear live! Some of the show was formulaic (I'm sure they crack the same jokes and make the same speeches every night at the same part of the show), but it was still very entertaining. Security at the casino ballroom was a bit overzealous, but I guess in today's world that's not really a bad thing. I was a bit steamed that I was prohibited from writing down the playlist on my iPhone's notepad function, though. "NO PHONES!!!" All in all, it was a fantastic time. The video show was really great too.

    A Lot of Fun

by HugeCCRFan on 2/15/11Palace Theater - Greensburg

Davy Jones came on stage and immediately began to entertain with songs, a lot of jokes and talk. Most of his humor was poking fun at himself and his age. The concert was very, very enjoyable and a lot of fun. I smiled through the whole show due to the fun music, performed well, and Davy Jones antics and humor. The crowd was roaring with laughter at times. He was very complimentary to those in attendence and the venue. Davy Jones is a very enjoyable entertainer and I very much look forward to seeing him perform again.

    Davy Jones was amazing!!!

by BigMonkeeFan on 9/29/10Pepperdine University - Malibu

A great show. Davy sang all the great Monkee songs and spoke to the audience throughout the show. He still has the voice and the moves of when he was younger. An excellant show.
