Show started absolutely on time 730 which is unusual in Los Angeles. We were 10 minutes late. Wish I would’ve known there was only one guest. We were out by 845. Was just expecting a little more or more guests.
I thought I was seeing David Letterman do stand up. But instead, he was interviewing a comic. Not a very funny comic. But David Letterman was funny.
We we're teased and led to believe by Letterman that his special guest was in the caliber of Steve Martin and that in his three nights of interviews we were the chosen ones to receive the grandest of guests. We got Nate Bargatze? We can drive down the street and see him at the Largo twice or more a month for $40. Not to take anything away from him, he is funny but really? Is this where David Letterman is today? That's the best he could do?
