Waited 11 years to hear him live in concert. He is amazing. Wish he would come to NY or NJ at least once a year. Only wish he had poster to add to my other two I have. Love him and his band .

  • Extraordinarily quality and beautiful experience!

I’d seen David Garrett perform 10 years prior in Toronto when my daughter who is a violinist was inspired by David’s way of integrating classical with modern violin art… and we have been waiting for him to return for a US- and boy did he return in NYC!!! It was such a surprise for him to come to our own favorite city, but the venue at the Town Hall made it so intimate and just quite wonderful to see him performing. The entire energy and atmosphere was incredible! David is so authentically talented and expressive in his performances, as well as the band who just makes the entire concert experience stunning! Thanks so much David and everyone involved for sharing your work with us here in NYC! My daughter now 15 still playing the violin consistently since she saw David play all those years ago at just 5 years old, and this continues to make her connect with the way he orchestrated, plays and inspires through his music 🎶 such a bright light and mentor for students. Thanks for sharing with us - we enjoyed this concert so much!

Absolutely the best show I have seen to date!!! I am now a Super Fan, he is beyond talented and brings a breath of fresh air to music. I only by chance saw a post on Facebook about him and wish he was promoted more by the Vendor. More people should be aware of this talented man!! I will absolutely be buying tickets to his next concert, either here in Toronto or in Germany! I had a smile for days from watching him play

  • David Garrett was spectacular!

    by davidgarrettfan53 on 3/13/16Roy Thomson Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was a terrific concert. David Garrett is in a class all by himself as he is a talented and intense performer. This concert was unique for me because he played with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and of course, his band. David stole the show by playing Csardas, Gypsy Dance) and Dueling Banjos with his partner Marcus Wolf. It is clear to see that David Garrett is unique as he chooses how to play the songs using his own arrangements and style. This man is a delight to see in concert and I highly recommend anyone who enjoys classical, pop, jazz, rap, and rock and roll music to see this guy. He won't disappoint you! He is a master of the violin!

  • Never disappoints

This is the third time I have seen David, twice in ny city and now in Toronto, this time with the Toronto symphony orchestra. Each time I see him it is better and better. Whether with his band or the symphony orchestra David pits on an outstanding show and I am always left with wanting another 2 hours

by Nonchan on 4/2/14The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful time at the concert. David Garrett is incredible! We were all happy to be there. Also, It was very nice and informative for Chicago Theater to send us the "St. Patrick Parade" warning in Chicago on the concert day. We do wish he would come to Detroit one day.

  • David Garrett is one of kind!

    by Supernova19 on 4/1/14Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

David Garrett honors composers of centuries past while staying true to himself. He breathes new life into their music and balances it perfectly for a modern generation. If they where alive today they would be proud of what he has accomplished. David also takes popular rock, classic, and pop and morphs it into his own version of something amazing. I wish he would have played another two hours more. He is humble in presence and I must say....easy on the eyes. A heavenly combination for any single girl. Even though he probably sells out all the concert halls he plays in, America has not fully discovered him yet. I am sure he will sell out stadiums here like he does in Germany soon enough. An unforgettable experience and I will see him again for sure. Worth my 3 hour drive. Trying to figure out how to make it to Vienna for his last concert this year. You will love him no matter what type of music you like.

  • David Garrett was REALLY good!!

by MusicIsTheWorld on 3/31/14Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I had only heard of and seen David Garrett via YouTube. His reputation preceded him and he did NOT disappoint. He put on a GREAT show; involved and engaged the audience describing his background while telling us interesting as well as funny anecdotes. He is a very global musician, so his set included a variety of pieces from all over the world. He is quite innovative and tries new things as well. All in all - an awesome show; basically a 9.5/10. The 0.5 deduction is/was for 2 slight (very minor) disappointments on the show: 1. He didn't play one of my fav. pieces of his (on YouTube) - Air by J. S. Bach 2. My wife is Lithuanian and one of reasons she'd come was also for his accompanist Martynas who was originally going to be on the program. There was quite a few from the Atlanta Lithuanian community who had showed up to see Martynas as well. They all knew why he couldn't make it (visa issues) as that had been news in their papers. And that David was the main star and they ALL did enjoy the great show. But David could have mentioned a few words about Martynas and why he couldn't be there - just kind of an acknowledgement of the absence. That's all.

The show was fantastic! I drove from Louisiana to Atlanta GA to see him :-) It was so worth the trip.

I gave my sister the tickets for her Birthday. She plays violin, and I knew she would be inspired. And, she was not only inspired, but totally blown away and she said the show was magnificent. Well Done! I asked her the questions below.
