This guy is a unique talent. The show was well worth seeing. I wouldn't miss it and will be sure to catch him whenever he's in town.

ok..would not see again but worth seeing for a single time. he was a great violinist..Kind of like going to a las vegas act. after about an hour or so got kind of tired of it. no vocals. backup vocals would add to the act. The band was good and made up of a good musicians but there were not great,

Can't say enough about the musical talent David Garrett has and the personality to compliment his music . Great show with enormous energy and outstanding cast of band members.

My husband and I brought our 12 year old (who plays the violin) to the show. My son and I had seen pieces of David Garrett's shows on Youtube after I saw a commercial advertising this event while watching the Jay Leno show. To say that we enjoyed the show would be a huge understatement! It was totally awesome! Even my husband, who was suffering from food poisoning prior to the show, thoroughly enjoyed it. My 12 year old decided that he wants to play in David Garrett's orchestra (it's nice to have a goal!) in a few years. I told him it would take a great deal more time and effort on his part in order to get there! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole concert!

  • Phenomenal

Even better than last year. New material and more musicians. David Garret is not only an amazingly gifted musician, but an extremely talented arranger and composer. I have not heard anything by or from him that isn't at the top of all his fields. Incomparable!!

David Garrett's concert was truly amazing! He and his band were AWESOME!!! He showed that the violin is no longer a classical instrument. It can be played with any type of music. He is a MUST SEE!!!!

  • The Exceptional David Garrett

by kimar on 1/31/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

What a fabulous show! David Garrett is truly a phenom! To hear a composure & performer of today who can take classical and popular and turn it into a new sound! He is unbelievable and the show was fabulous!

  • David Garrett is extraordinary!

by ShyinChicago on 1/31/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Not only is he one of the best violinists that I have ever heard, he's funny and down to earth. It was pure joy to watch him perform!

  • David Garrett is an unbelievable violinist!

by Charismasweet on 1/30/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I was lucky to have better seats this year and it was well worth it! David's second half of the show was my favorite with new compositions. I especially liked Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" and Claire De Lune. He also did a cool Justin Timberlake song. This concert was less based on Rock Symphonies and more intricate. I will see him again next year!

  • David Garrett is amazing!

by CokieD on 1/30/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Garrett's violin playing is amazing. His arrangements, whether from pop tunes or with a fiddling flair or R&B or classical, all meshed with the rhythmic feel of his rock band and could be not only intense and exciting but also very beautiful. Garrett had funny stories to tell and was very charming as well.

David Garret is fantastic! The man is truly blessed and will be a legend. I wish he would tour more and closer to my home town. Tho very ill, I travelled quite a distance just to see him perform. So happy I was able to see him.

  • David Garrett is AMAZINGLY Talented!

    by YVB77 on 1/30/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

David Garrett's performance was outstanding! The set list was well balanced. His band is composed of truly talented musicians. I was truly amazed by his interpretation of "Cry me a river" I never thought I would ever like this song, but the arrangements David made to this song made it unforgettable!

  • Awesome

This was a great show. To bad no parking. But overall a great show just wish we had a chance to meet him afterward.

  • The best of both worlds!

    by ndsusher34 on 1/30/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This is by far the best show I have ever seen! You get the best of classical and rock. David and his band are absolutely amazing. Their talent is endless. I will never forget this experience.

David Garrett is awesome, amazing, moving and inspirational. The Chicago Theater was the perfect venue to get the honor of seeing him in.

  • by Stereonut on 1/30/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I wish he would've played some Led Zepplin and other songs instead of doing so much Michael Jackson. His back up band was great but their mics were turned substantially lower than David and you could barely hear their solos in the songs. Even when they played an ACDC number by themselves it sounded as if they were in another room.

  • Daivid Garrett awesome

Great show, will go to see him again, only problem is my girlfriend is mad because David did not make eye contact and she is in love (lust) with him.
