Who is David Copperfield?
David Copperfield's career in magic began when he was 10 years old, performing in his New Jersey neighborhood as Davino the Boy Magician. By the age of 16, he was a member of the Society of American Magicians and teaching magic at New York University.
Copperfield's decades-long string of top-rated, Emmy-winning television specials began in 1977, where he performed his unprecedented feats and illusions before TV audiences.
When not performing live at such storied locations as the White House and in his own Broadway productions, Copperfield has shared his signature combination of storytelling, stagecraft and magic with audiences worldwide. First presented in 2003, David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion toured venues and sold-out arenas across the US and the world. It regularly runs at the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
What a performance ! David Copperfield is still performing magic like no one else, he is an excellent mentalist, magician and storyteller. A truly memorable show !
David Copperfield has been a HUGE attraction in Las Vegas for a “zillion” years but I only recently went to actually see him perform … and “WOW! It’s an AMAZING show!” Copperfield includes random people from the audience as he takes you on a personal journey of imagination with mind-boggling illusions. So glad I went!
Great show. Copperfield still got it. Great visual and great comedy. Overall really enjoyed it.

I saw DC 30 years ago and was amazed. This show is lacking in magic and had a strange plot about his relationship with his father which I didn’t understand and we thought he seemed like he was going through the motions and not engaged with the audience
For such a seasoned performer expected a lot more. No stage show. Made things appear and disappear but very child like. Expected a lot more. David Blaine show much better

I was excited to see David Copperfield & quickly disappointed when I actually went. It was the same kind of magic over & over, too boring of a storyline that is also not exciting, but sad? I was almost falling asleep & I wish I was more excited.
Ive seen nearly every magic show in Las Vegas and I can say with confidence that David Copperfield is still the best in 2024! Why you might ask well do you know any other magicians on the Las Vegas strip who have 21 emmy awards? Nope only Copperfeild does. I took my friends to go see his show for my birthday and the look on their faces was priceless. David made an alien spaceship appear above our heads in the middle of the audience. He made a huge like 30 foot dinosaur appear out of no where. Then he made a Car appear while surrounded by people from the audience. At one point he floated in the air and vanished in mid air only to appear in the middle of the audience. He is such a great story teller and you really feel like your in a great Steven Spielberg movie but with magic and illusions. Trust me if your going to pay to see a show in Vegas this is the best one period!
It was a great show I will recommend for everyone who lives in Las Vegas to go see it up in person
I love going to shows. I appreciate the work that goes into them. However, this is the worst show I have ever been to. I'm shocked because David Copperfield is a famous name. This show is amateur, childish and lazy. Please retire David. This is embarrassing. You put zero effort.
I've seen David Copperfield several times - and he never disappoints! The only con I'd list for the show is it's very short.
Cool tricks but not exciting…. Not worth what I spent…
Just doesn’t have the charisma and energy that he used to. He does too many shows and is monotone, just saying his lines and mumbling. Too much talking in general and not enough illusions. Talking to an animatronic alien for half the show was ridiculous, took my daughter for her 11th birthday and even she wasn’t wowed. 15 shows a week for years is taking its toll. You have enough money David you don’t need the paycheck, just retire from this insane schedule already. You still have something in you, save it for less frequent and better content shows. When you have to use recorded laughter and applause, you know it’s time to reevaluate your situation.
The illusions were remarkable. David was. Or able to relate to the audience and was very stilted. It felt like he was going through the motions. Wasn’t the worst use of our time but not as energizing as we had hoped.
The Show was not good, it was boring. Too few magic Tricks. There‘s better Shows in Las Vegas. Look „The Linq“
Gets the audience involved multiple times, makes little jokes and gets the crowd laughing. Entertaining spectacle. We enjoyed it.
So disappointed in this show. Remembered him fondly from 30 years ago as a mesmerized teenager watching him live. Took the family to see him as I was surprised to see that he was still performing. We didn’t get any real magic,. We got a fake sob story about his relationship with his dad, we got a little alien wasting 20 minutes (of an already short show) and convincing us to believe, we got the tired tricks of “say some numbers and I will show you that I already guessed those numbers and look it’s written in this box” and we got lights out pitch black and then a spaceship floats across the room…we left there feeling very underwhelmed, wondering why he just won’t retire, and hoped to have spent the money on a better show in Vegas. My suggestion: Skip!
