David Copperfield on Tour
A living legend who sells out arenas around the globe when not at the Las Vegas theater that bears his name, David Copperfield is one of the most revered and successful performers in the history of show business. Over the course of his six-decade career, the master magician has sold more tickets than any other solo entertainer, including Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley.
David Copperfield's passion for magic, ingenuity as an innovator and ability to astonish are all trademarks of a career that has included Emmy-winning television specials, hit Broadway productions and countless performances. Among his spectacular and iconic feats are walking through the Great Wall of China, making a seemingly impossible escape from Alcatraz prison and — in what was called the Illusion of the Century — causing the Statue of Liberty to disappear in front of a live audience on Liberty Island and millions of TV viewers worldwide.
Viewers can experience his unique brand of magic and storytelling in David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusions, an entertaining and engaging showcase of his art and craft featuring illusions that often take years to develop and perfect. Widely acclaimed as the greatest illusionist of our time, he continues to wow audiences on his world tours and at his shows inside the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Who is David Copperfield?
David Copperfield's career in magic began when he was 10 years old, performing in his New Jersey neighborhood as Davino the Boy Magician. By the age of 16, he was a member of the Society of American Magicians and teaching magic at New York University.
Copperfield's decades-long string of top-rated, Emmy-winning television specials began in 1977, where he performed his unprecedented feats and illusions before TV audiences.
When not performing live at such storied locations as the White House and in his own Broadway productions, Copperfield has shared his signature combination of storytelling, stagecraft and magic with audiences worldwide. First presented in 2003, David Copperfield: An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion toured venues and sold-out arenas across the US and the world. It regularly runs at the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Excellent performance that I would highly recommend. Very impressive illusions and a nice theatre too.
Perfect for family my kids enjoy is very happy show
Fantastic show, 1st. class all the way!!! Saw him many times on tv. Always hoped we would be able to see him in person. Glad we were able to! He did not disappoint.
David way too much on COVID. You were the only person with mask; get real it is over!
He made large objects appear out of nowhere a couple times, which was cool but other than that I don’t feel like there was much to it.
If I could give zero stars, I would. The show is that bad. David Copperfield needs to retire as his magic show and comedy are stale. Would like my money back please.
If you’re looking for an in your face non stop illusion show this isn’t for you. However, if your looking for showmanship from a legendary magician with some truly unique illusions and an even more unique act, this is for you. We all thoroughly enjoyed the show and would recommend it to anyone. David Cooperfield is a legend in the trade and we were all glad to be able to attend.
It seems like the years of performances have gotten to his head. Copperfield exudes a big ego, exploits his father's death, and plays with ET for an hour and a half. The tricks and illusions were amazing, but the story and personality could use some work
The illusions were amazing, but the story line was weak. The ET thing was silly.
This is an awesome show. Involves and surrounds the audience.
Incredible illusions and performance! Highly recommend seeing the show. Enjoyed so much, we will be back!
My wife and I have always watched David on TV. Getting the chance to see him in person was great. He made everyone there feel apart of the show. I couldn't believe the illusions he performed. I still want to know where the car came from.
David Copperfield is still crushing it! A phenomenal show where he reflects back on his life and his parents. Very touching story to guide you through his magic. David still uses crowd interaction and brings many fans into the heart of the show. This is a must see for any fan of magic.
Wow, this was so much more than we expected. We tried to avoid finding out too many details before we went to the show, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of high production acts that were delivered. David Copperfield is an amazing illusionist, but what people may not know is that he is a master entertainer as well. His humor, intuition, and his ability to change pace on the fly is astounding. When one of the volunteers on stage got a little stage fright and was unable to read a sign out loud, David humorously defused it by reading the sign in "her" voice and then thanked her kindly afterwards. My teenage children were so engaged that I think I could have gone to sit at another table and they wouldn't have noticed! They thanked me afterwards and wanted to know if it would be the same show if they came to see it again. As a father, that's a win. Go see this show. You will be entertained.
David isn’t what he used to be. This show is very “theatrical” and needs to get down to more basics. It’s very loud, he talks too fast like he’s trying to get it over with. He’s all over the place in the theatre with tons of prop people constantly moving around in the audience. Bringing people up on stage for no reason like cattle call. Very strange
Illusions were fun, The fact that the same girl was picked from the crown "Purely by random" for several tricks, including the meet & greet, was a bit disappointing, We asked her after and she told us that she was approached prior to show time and was told what to say and do. Also, we paid a bit more for the meet and greet and meeting David was very bittersweet. The illusion preformed was with woman stated above and as soon as the trick was completed, about 30 seconds, he could not get out of there quick enough. No "nice to meet you", Thank you for coming", nothing. He grabbed his cards and left, Meet and greet is not worth the extra money.
I expected a lot, but the show was even greater then I can only recommend to everybody take part and you will be surprised and you feel a lot of emotion due to the personality of David Copperfield
The shower was okay. Very slow moving with to much talking and not enough magic. But atleast I can say I saw David Copperfield
David is David. The show is awesome. Must see. He connects with the audience and puts on a great show.
The show is very beautifull,I give it five stars,we loved it,its the first time we go and wow beautiful, thank you David for enjoying your show,I recommend it to my friends and I would go to see it again,we 😀 loved it happy new year, thanks 😀
