Bromberg and his gang move effortlessly from blues to folk, New Orleans to country, traditional to humorous, and something uniquely theirs. His raspy voice leaves alot to be desired but somehow is perfect for the jams they play. Go, have fun, and be happy.
Bromberg still has it. And he brings stellar musicians with him. Jaw-dropping instrumentals, and heartfelt singing. One of the best concerts I’ve seen in a long time.
Really well played music and the big band to boot. Sam Bush made a great performance even better. I felt lucky and blessed to be with these virtuosos. Everyone who played was terrific
This was a terrific concert. Not only stellar musicians but some humor interspersed made for a great experience. Catch them if you get a chance.
I've been seeing Bromberg for 50 years. Since the early 70's in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. First time was at the Main Point coffee house.
This was my third time seeing David Bromberg. His performance was shorter than the last two and he never introduced his band. Other than that, great!
What a great show. David can really bring some amazing musicians together. It was just so much fun to see them enjoying themselves while we enjoyed the show. So glad I got tickets to this event.
fantastic concert over 2hrs.. compared to two days later at the levoy theatre in nj. very disappointing. nj did not deserve the same caliber of concert. thanks dave
Big Dave never disappoints! Always a great show..Have seen him at least a dozen times and he is always great.
THe music, the songs, the lyrics, the guests, the venue; the parking was so easy, the plethora of nearby restaurants, but mostly Mr. Bromberg, who never disappoints!
A very fine show. His band was terrific. He is a fine showman. Not the greatest voice but sure knows how to sing and deliver. His guests were very good also. Steve Earle, Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams. Loved John McEuen and Bromberg’s rendition of Mr. Bojangles. The weather was terrible. It made for anxious evening worrying about our trip home.
The theater was an excellent venue for the band. He brought world class musicians and high energy to the stage, playing for over 2 hours. A great variety of songs were played, with ample opportunity for each musician to shine. The guest artists were amazing and really rocked the house. I hope to catch up with them at a later concert. Well-done!
Excellent, the performance was amazing ! Staff were great! Good a little pricey but good!
Good show, nice crowd. Difficult navigating once the place fills up if having to go to the restroom. The Chairs are always an issue with me due to arthritis. We came early and got a good spot.
Certainly not the Bromberg of old in that the 7:30pm show started at exactly 7:30pm, and ended exactly at 9pm (thank goodness Jorma doesn't do that). When he jammed, he played well. He just went too much with the folk and stuff over rock. The sound system was very impressive at the Golf Club, the set up nice, the service constant & courteous. Got what we expected......likely won't repeat though.
Bromberg and his bandmates are great musicians and put on a very professional show. It lasted 1:45 but felt shorter because it was so entertaining. They played some of his older hits, but didn’t play several others, which was my only disappointment. The venue was a huge tented area with open sides and back. Tables were socially distanced and the crowd was extremely enthusiastic. The food and beverage servers were very attentive and overall it was a very good experience.
I've went to several shows at this Venue, and Bromberg's sound was the Best ! The staff at Sun Eagle was Awesome ,Friendly and attentive, as they were at all the shows I have attended there , i heard Count Basie lost to much money running these shows and won't be continuing next year. I only hope the management at Sun Eagle continues " Concerts on the Green " next year , its a Great place for a Show ,and Real Good Time !! Thanks !!
The acoustics in this tent were horrendous. There were time it sounded like Davis was screaming/screeching. We actually moved from our 2nd row table which was off to the side of the stage to the back of the tent to a more centered one which helped quite a bit but it still sucked. That said, i think David was a little “off” and wasn’t his usual jovial self. The set list was just “ok”!in my opinion and it seemed the rest of the audience felt the same.
The sound quality was poor. The.vocals were barely audible. The chairs were what you would find at the curb on garbage day with square tables and a chair facing away from the stage? The food & drink was more than the tickets, the food was boardwalk quality at best. The added automatic 20% gratuity ensured mediocre service. We won’t be back anytime soon, but if we do it, we will eat elsewhere. On the bright side it was a good show and it was good to see David still kickin’ it at 75. 5 stars from an old fan for him.
