About

Since first stepping into the pop spotlight at age 17, David Archuleta has embodied the kind of genuine star power that can't be manufactured. After years of dazzling audiences with his radiant personality and phenomenal voice--a journey that's included turning out multiple platinum-selling hits, achieving global acclaim as a captivating live performer, and emerging as an undeniable fixture on the pop-culture scene--the Miami-born singer/songwriter experienced a major personal transformation that radically altered his identity as an artist. As shown in his singles "Creme Brulee" and "Hell Together," Archuleta has dramatically expanded the landscape of his songwriting and devoted himself to making pop music with equal parts uncompromising emotion and exhilarating impact.

  • David is AMAZING!

    by Palrice8 on 10/23/10House of Blues - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I went to his Christmas concert he did in Boston last year and it was AMAZING! I wish he'd go on another Christmas tour, but if not I can't wait for his next tour for his new album! He really transforms on stage. In person he's cute and shy, but then when he sings, he turns into a completely different person, with so much soul and emotion. And then the second he stops singing he becomes that shy, cute guy again. It's really interesting, and his shows are always quite an experience, whether it's the amazing notes he holds, or the random, funny things he says in bewteen songs. A David Archuleta concert is an experience you'll never forget.

  • David Archuleta is an angel

by Tobewithyou on 1/14/10Genesee Theatre - WaukeganRating: 5 out of 5

The show was a surprise to me from my family, and I adored every minute of it. The fans were pretty crazy, but David was awesome. His voice is even more superb in person, and I don't think he could be any nicer. He took time out from his show to talk about charity and God...I would have given anything to tell him that he is a wonderful person and role model. His whole manner during the concert was very professional, and I enjoyed myself immensely. I highly recommend his show to anyone who is looking for a fantastic time. The concert was extremely long and the quality was excellent the entire time. David is a natural performer. He has the voice and personality of a real-life angel.

  • AMAZING PERFORMER! AMAZING VENUE! AMAZING SHOW!

by tyvid5 on 12/25/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

First off, i LOVE how if you eat at the House of Blues restaurant you get to be the first ones into the venue! (that was a great + :D) Second, the show was amazing! Started RIGHT on time, and both opening acts were extremely entertaining! Michael and Marisa BLEW me and my friends away! We were like, aww how cute little kids and then they opened their mouths and BAM!!! Their cover of Lady GaGa was EPIC! Then Benton Paul soothed the crowd with his beatuiful vocals! Next was David! Not only did he perform christmas songs but he sang all his original songs as well! It was an amazing two act show that left me speechless from beginning to end. He sounded better live than he did on his CD and when he sang "Pat-a-pan" I was dancing away! (and it's a christmas song! lol) So, if you are a fan of David, be SURE to see him in concert! When he smiles, the whole audience smiles and when he laughs, the whole audience laughs! He's a great guy, great performer, and put on a show that I will always remember! Thanks David!

  • David Archuletta..WOW!

by DJWL on 12/22/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was absolutely amazing. David Archuletta has so much talent! His voice was pitch perfect, awe inspiring and pure magic. I have never heard a more beautiful male voice. He becomes one with whatever song he is singing and really takes you there. When he was on American Idol I told my husband, that boy would make a wonderful Christmas album..it's like his voice was custom made for Christmas music. He did not disappoint. Usually artists sound better in the studio version then when they are live. His album is beautiful..and his concer was perfect. He is such a humble, kind, giving soul. It was the BEST concert I have ever been to, and plan to go to all of his concerts available in my area. Epic evening! Thank you David Archuletta and thank you House of Blues for bringing him to your venue...btw...love the venue!

  • DAVID ARCHULETA MAKES MY LIFE COMPLETE.

by albatross0o on 12/22/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a HUGEEEEEE David Archuleta fan ever since he auditioned for American Idol, and I've been to two of his concerts, so I knew how ridiculously amazing this one was going to be. He is just the sweetest, nicest, most beautiful human being I have ever known, which leads me to my theory that he is not human, rather he is an angel sent to us from heaven above to be such a beautiful light and inspiration to us all. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like David in the world. Gosh, he is just the BEST. Okay, I should probably talk about the concert now hahaha - Michael and Marisa came on first and they did a few songs. They were really cute and, suprisingly, really talented too. Marisa was awesome on the drums. Benton Paul was next, a fellow Utahn to Mr. Archuleta. I had never heard his stuff before, but I loved it!!! He has a really beautiful voice (especially his falsetto). His songs were really great, too, and he seems like a really nice guy. AND THEN......HE CAME....... and the place went crazy with ear-piercing screams and it was just great. I'm not gonna go into detail on every song he sang because there were a lot, but some of my favorites were Zero Gravity, The Riddle, Fields of Gold, Pat-a-pan, Riu Riu Chiu, The First Noel, Melodies of Christmas, My Hands, and O Holy Night. Geez, that's pretty much all of them haha. Well, they were all my favorite. He brought something special to each one and I was just mesmerized the entire night. There were some extremely funny and cute moments, which you can always count on with David haha. He's such a dork but that's exactly why I love him so much <333333 So, yes, if you ever get the chance, GO SEE DAVID IN CONCERT!!!! It is an experience you will love and never forget, and your life will be changed forever!! Well, mine was anyway. Also, buy his debut CD and Christmas CD "Christmas From the Heart" if you have yet to do so!!! They are mind-blowing!!

  • Amazing Christmas Spirit night with D. Archuleta

by tomboston on 12/21/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

We strolled in to HOB after dinner and found our perfect seats. The stage was decorated and lit beautifully in the Christmas spirit. Benton Paul was subdued but great. Then David Archuleta exploded onto the stage with his pop hits from his first album. After 45mins he switched to his Christmas songs and mezmerized the audience. I danced and sang along all night in my Red Sox santa hat. Great time!!

  • David's voice is incredible

by Triplev330 on 12/21/09The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

It was a concert where David Archuleta sang his heart out - I think that encompasses why this concert was amazing. Probably the hi-light of this show was his encore when he sang "O Holy Night." His voice filled the hall and just seemed to envelope you. It was just incredible. If he performed on two nights I would have bought tickets for the second night as well after having sat through that performance. The only complaint I have is the inability of adults to control their tween and teenage girls who screamed and squealed at every possible moment. They even screamed during his performance of "Ave Maria" and it really ruined a lot of songs. However, kudos to David for never responding to or acknowledging the screams and squeals and shouts of "I love you."

  • David Archuleta was unfrogettable

by Anonymous on 12/21/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first concert and totally worth it. I recommend it to any one who is a david fan. The song are fun to dance to and he has an amazing voice, It is totally worth the money.

  • David was crazy good

He puts on a great show for people of all ages. He interacts with the crowd in a way I have never seen a artist do before. The entire performance was remarkable and it is hands down the best show I have ever seen.

  • David is Magic, the two warm up acts FORGETABLE!

by BostonMusicLover on 12/21/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I am even more amazed by David's vocal ability now than I was before. A kid still at 18 and he sings like a pro of 20 years. He has matured quite a bit in the way he moves and physically expresses himself on stage. When he talks to the audience...he shows that he is still a kid...and oh so innocent...but charming as heck. When I bought the tickets online, I forgot that his fan base is so young. When my friend and I showed up, we were the oldest fans in the house at 51...in fact, we were older than the parents who had brought their children...mostly 10-14 year olds. These little girls were quite annoying...talking throughout, running around like the House of Blues was a playground, eating chicken fingers and french fries, texting like their lives depended on it. I recommend that if anyone wants to see David perform, they arive at least one and a half to two hours late to miss the opening acts. Also, his musicians were excellent, and he brought in a four-piece string section for the second half of his set...which had songs from his Christmas CD...very nice. I would love to see David get his own T.V. special so I could enjoy just him and not have to fight through a mass of unruly teenie boppers.

  • Awesome show!

by Jen9 on 12/21/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

If there was ever a singer to come along that had superstar potential it is David Archuleta. I hadn't seen him since the American Idol tour 2 years ago and wow,has he grown as a performer! Every song he sang was better than the next and I could never pick a favorite. His voice is just phenomenal and he remains the sweet, humble guy we saw when he was on Idol. What sets him apart from other pop stars is that he only has to rely on that gorgeous voice to capture the attention of the audience. There's no special lighting, smoke, effects, etc and yet you can hear a pin drop during the show when he sings many of the songs. I think that is what is in his staying power. Just a wonderful show!!!! I can't wait for him to come back to Boston again!!!
