About

Since first stepping into the pop spotlight at age 17, David Archuleta has embodied the kind of genuine star power that can't be manufactured. After years of dazzling audiences with his radiant personality and phenomenal voice--a journey that's included turning out multiple platinum-selling hits, achieving global acclaim as a captivating live performer, and emerging as an undeniable fixture on the pop-culture scene--the Miami-born singer/songwriter experienced a major personal transformation that radically altered his identity as an artist. As shown in his singles "Creme Brulee" and "Hell Together," Archuleta has dramatically expanded the landscape of his songwriting and devoted himself to making pop music with equal parts uncompromising emotion and exhilarating impact.

  • David rocked Dallas!

by npschoo on 12/7/10Majestic Theatre - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

David has not had an official tour in 2010. So it has been a while since he had a longer set of songs with a full band. Dallas was well worth that wait! His band was amazing, very professional, great back up vocals, and David brought his'A 'game as he always does! His vocals were spot on as always, but his stage presence was at a whole new level from the moment he stepped on stage, to the moment he left. He had his audience engulfed in the music within the first couple of notes of Somehting bout Love, and never lost that momentum thourghout. The energy from his band and himself was incredible! He not only tries to connect with the audience in the front row, but his voice soars throughout the venue, and he makes the connection with even the people in the third story balcony. Anyone who has a true love for music needs to see this young man perform live!

  • Big Heart, Big Voice

David gave his time and talents this weekend to benefit the Children's Medical Center in Dallas. There is no way that I can adequately put into words how truly amazing David Archuleta was live at the Majestic Theater. The only downside to the show was that it ended much too soon. I can't wait for David to come back to Texas and I'd love to see him at the Majestic again.

That was a stunning performance! He has won many new fans! Just wish it was longer.

  • David Archuleta is AMAZING

by archieangeltx on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I attended the Dallas December 3 concert with a sellout crowd. David was amazing. The music, the voice, the dancing! The guy was on fire and all the proceeds went to the Dallas Children's Hospital. David is one unique performer and humanitarian. If you ever get a chance to attend one of his concerts - go - you will not be disappointed. You will have to ask yourself is it live or Memorix? This 20 year can definately sing and he does not need any flashing lights, autotune or hidden tricks that other singers use. He combined a pop concert with some Christmas songs thrown in.

  • We wanted more of David

by kburton on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

David sang very well when we could hear him over the band. We just wanted more of his beautiful voice. The concert lasted less than an hour, which was disappointing. Fortunately we have his Christmas and first CD so we can enjoy them.

  • Thoroughly Disappointing

    by MusicLuv01 on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 1 out of 5

After the show started 40 minutes late, Archuleta sang maybe 45 minutes. For the price of the tickets the concert was VERY disappointing. This was advertised as a holiday concert and he sang maybe two or three holiday songs. Would not attend another Archuleta or KVIL sponsored concert. The reading of The Night Before Christmas by Kimel was insulting at best (stall tactic was obvious).

  • David Archuleta was amazing!!

    by ChristyR63 on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

David Archuleta was amazing at the Majestic. He started off singing some of his new stuff off his new album. All of his new stuff was fantastic! He then sang some Christmas songs from his Christmas album. He has such a beautiful voice!! When he sings he touches my soul like noone else can. I can't wait until he comes back to our area again. i will definitely go see him no matter where he's playing at.

  • The BEST

by gwen on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

David's show was the best one that I have seen of his. He was just fantastic, very much in command of that stage. WOW!!!! His new band was wonderful too.The theater was very nice and it is always so much fun at his concerts meeting all the folks that you have seen before at other concerts. Like one big family of very devoted fans. Hope he does a tour in the next year.

love venue, performance for a great cause. David A.'s performance was wonderful, HOWEVER -- why so short???? took stage at 8:15, was finished in less than 45 minutes. Performed viewer than 10 songs, including one encore-- why?? Ticket price of $50 - expected show to be a little longer.

  • worth every penny

by CAMRAMOM on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

took my 17 yr old daughter . she said it was the best night of her life. she liked how he thanked everyone after each song. he is amazing singer live. she sat on front row and he touched her hand at the end of the concert. small venue . short concert . started 30 minutes late. but overall a great concert. all ages of people attended. afterward my daughter waited by the stage door outside the building . he gave autographs and he gave her a hug. this was her christmas present. lt was well worth the money . we would see him again if he comes back to dallas.

  • Archuleta was short... the concert was too. :)

by sethat on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Archuleta was in good form as usual. He did not disappoint. The highlight of the concert was the music he did from his Christmas album. His voice was created for music like this. The show seemed a little short, however. He seems to be a great person, with a enthusiastic stage presence. I think he's a little unsure how to fill gaps between songs, but that's secondary to his abilities as a performer. This was also a benefit concert for the area children's hospital. Overall, a decent concert for a great cause. I'm not a huge Archuleta fan (tickets were for my mother), but I was sufficiently entertained.

  • David...performer extraordinaire!!

    by samigirl09 on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

If you want to see the best LIVE performer in the music business today ,in my opinion...then take in a David Archuleta concert. This guy is incredible! His beautiful powerful vocals filled the venue at the Majestic Theater on December 3rd 2010. I was blown away as he sang every song, every note, flawlessly and effortlessly. The man is a natural born talent...I was stunned by his energy, and professionalism. He is totally at home on the stage and connects so well with the audience. What a future is in store for this amazing beautiful singer. I highly recommend!!

  • David Archuleta

    by LittleBit66 on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

The show was great; NOT long enough considering the amount of money paid for the tickets. There were several empty seats and people were moving to get a closer view. In the future whom ever is in charge of the venue should allow customers to sit closer within their section, but let everyone know. Also, they say no pictures but everyone and their mom's had camera's and cell phones taking pictures as well as video's. The ushers were threating certain customers, but not ALL, to confiscate the camera's and cell phones.

  • "Good Place" to be at a David Archuleta show

by IvyLondon on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Anytime David Archleta plays a show, joy is in the air - especially at Christmas. He loves what he does and the audience adores him. He looked spiffy in his military jacket, and the theater is a beautiful venue. Staff was friendly and helpful. The evening was for a noble cause - and that always is important to David's fans, as we know what a good and kind person he is, and shows like this demonstrate his caring to others. His voice is growing richer, and his stage presence is larger than life - he may be small in statue but is large in talent. As with other David concerts I've attended, the bass guitars overwhelmed his voice on all the upbeat songs when one sits anywhere near the front. I could only hear HIM on the songs that deleted the guitars. His best performances for me were with David alone at the piano. I wish he would sing "Good Place" and "Stomping the Roses," as they are my favorites from his new album - especially "Good Place." I look forward to many more wonderful experiences as David matures in every way. I'll be at the Morman Tabernacle Choir performance in SLC - what a treat!! I'm from Houston, and I have to say, "Dallas does it right." The Majestic and David's show were majestic!!

  • David Archuleta with a back up band!

by fanofyours on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Aside of the show getting off to a late start ... it was nothing short of awesome. I've only seen David perform with an orchestra, and never with a live band. The band was great ... the perfect group for David, who is so talented! David didn't hold back ... he was all over the stage. I liked the mix of songs, and that he also played the keyboard. Great performance!

  • Great, but short

by Anonymous on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

It seemed to be a mini concert for a fundraiser and he was really late coming on stage.

  • David Archuleta

by PeachesBozo on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

The show was 45 minutes late getting started with no explaination. They could have at least told us why. But they kept us just sitting there. I thought it was going to be "an intimate evening with David singing Christmas carols." I took my 80 year old mother to see this concert expecting Christmas carols. He sang 3. Never heard of two of them. He was excellent on "The First Noel".

  • David was unbelievable

by Wantoja on 12/6/10Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

He gets bettter and better every time. His voice was amazing and strong. The venue was beautiful and well organized. The only bad thing is that the show was too short.
