Since first stepping into the pop spotlight at age 17, David Archuleta has embodied the kind of genuine star power that can't be manufactured. After years of dazzling audiences with his radiant personality and phenomenal voice--a journey that's included turning out multiple platinum-selling hits, achieving global acclaim as a captivating live performer, and emerging as an undeniable fixture on the pop-culture scene--the Miami-born singer/songwriter experienced a major personal transformation that radically altered his identity as an artist. As shown in his singles "Creme Brulee" and "Hell Together," Archuleta has dramatically expanded the landscape of his songwriting and devoted himself to making pop music with equal parts uncompromising emotion and exhilarating impact.
What a great show! David Archuleta is one of those rare singers who sounds better live than in recordings.
I thought his concert was very fun and enjoyable for all ages. He did an amazing job live and I'd go again in a heartbeat.
I've seen David Archuleta in concert before and knew to expect some great live performances from him, and yet still as I sat listening to him in the beautiful Midland Theater in Kansas City Kansas on Dec. 8, 2009, I was amazed. David's set for his Christmas tour involves his most famous song, "Crush," other songs from his debut album and songs from his Christmas from the Heart album. The audience was on their feet dancing to "Zero Gravity," and quietly reflectful as he sang the reverent "Ave Maria" and "Prayer of the Children." My favorite performances were "Pat-A-Pan" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" -- my concert buddy loved "The First Noel" -- actually, there was nothing that wasn't completely enjoyable. I returned from the show less than 18 hours ago and I'm ready for news about David's next tour!
With boundless energy and a powerful voice, David Archuleta earned several standing ovations at the Kansas City concert. The accompaniment greatly added to the singing. Archuleta went from some opening rock and ballads to a beautiful Christmas music presentation. His smile and warm personality added to the message.
David Archuleta has a beatiful voice and puts on an enjoyable, family friendly show.
Nothing can prepare you for how amazing David is live. So much passion and confidence when he sings. He's definitely worth seeing and I plan on going to another one of his shows in the future, without a doubt.
I'm a big fan of David Archuleta and thought the concert was awesome. He played all my favorite songs and some beautiful Christmas songs!
Christmas from the Heart Tour: I don't have enough positive adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how wonderful David Arculeta's performance was last night. Everything from his vocals to song choices to the decorations...fantastic!!! I would highly recommend seeing David live to anyone who would like to see an example of someone who can really sing. Beautiful venue!!
I’ll just sum it up by saying, he was absolutely amazing, brilliant, astounding last night. I can’t think of enough adjectives. AND, there was a strings section! Not a full orchestra, but strings! The strings section adds so much to the music. it was a wonderful bonus. His voice completely filled the theater from every inch of every crevice in the beautiful architecture inside. It was booming…it was unbelievable…the place was so full of the purity of his relentless emotions he poured into the lyrics that it pressed hard on your chest and you literally could not breathe until the song was over. It was amazing. I will never forget it. Never.
the show was good. the only thing i thougt was it took a little long between sets for his show to start. Other than that it was Great.
I truly enjoyed this concert! David has such a clear & powerful voice, and I think he did a great job. He has such a magical smile that you just have to smile whenever he does! I would've liked to have heard a few more songs off of his non-Christmas album, but otherwise liked everything about the concert. The Christmas songs particularly showed off his vocal skills. I think he's even better now than when on American Idol or even on his first CD, possibly. He's gained some confidence since then. He's so genuine and seems to love what he is doing. He makes it look fun. I hope so much that he has a continuing career for years to come. He is so very talented.
David Archuleta is UNREAL. His voice fills every open space and your entire being. EVERYONE hould see one of his shows. They will be become instant fans if they aren't already. He shines on that stage and its impossible to take your eyes off of him. His personality between songs is charming and lovable and it's just like he is talking to a group of friends. David's talent goes above and beyond spectacular and it's a true blessing to be able to see and hear him live. Rain, hale, sleet or snow wasn't going to stop me from going and the travel was MUCH worth getting to hear his AMAZING voice!! LOVE HIM!!
We braved the threatening weather to make it to the show and we were so glad we did!!! David's show was truly unforgettable! His voice is so pure and he sings with such emotion and power!!! You can see how much he's grown as a performer since his "Idol" days and he certainly can move on the stage! It was fun to watch the "teeny boppers" around us...reminded me of my "Osmania" days - ha! The audience was made up of a wide range of ages, a testament of his remarkable talent and mass appeal. I'll definitely be catching David again!!! Way to go Archuleta!!!
David was great with the musicians surrounding him. Great lighting effects, sound a little loud for us older people. We have his Christmas CD so can now enjoy reliving the concert. I was not interested in his non-Christmas music
Archuleta was wonderful on American Idol but it is nothing compared to what we heard last night. His voice is fabulous, much more relaxed and just phenomenal. My husband and I both loved it. Crowd gave him a good Kansas City welcome. Theater beautiful but seating is very crowded. A larger person would not be able to sit in the rows.
The show last night was great. In person he sounds just like on his cds. He is truly a very talented young man, my daughter and I enjoyed the show very much. I enjoyed his Christmas set. His faith showed through in the songs that he sang.
Great show. Well worth the time and money. Great seats.
This was one of the most entertaining, enjoyable shows I've seen. David was in great voice and very personable. The first set was comprised of songs from his 1st CD and other favorites. He gave the people exactly what they wanted. After a short (5 minutes) break, he came back out and performed Christmas songs from his latest CD. Benton Paul, the opening act, was a wonderful addition. His songs complimented David's perfectly. Also very personable and entertaining. All in all, a wondeful, snowy night for music. I would recommend this show to anyone, young and old. You won't be disappointed.
As usual DAVID ARCHULETA put on an AMAZING show! His voice was heavenly as ussual! Nothing new. This kid is seriously amazing! My heart melted as soon as he began singing!
David Archuleta is an amazing vocalist. I wish there were more opportunities to see him perform publicly. His voice is like no other vocalist at this time. I don't think he gets the respect he deserves because of his age and maybe he doesn't have the right manager. This concert was my birthday gift from my family and it was the best gift I've received.
