Dave Chappelle, mastermind behind sketch comedy goldmine Chappelle's Show, made a triumphant return to stand-up comedy in 2013. While he's beloved for his famous impersonations of Rick James and Prince, Chappelle doesn't rely on old material for his stand-up act, treating fans to an all-original show featuring extensive improvisation as he interacts with audiences. At his 2013 performances on The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, which he co-headlined with Flight of the Conchords, Chappelle had fans rolling on the floor, building anticipation for his highly coveted 2014 tour dates.

Born David Khari Webber Chappelle in Washington, D.C., Dave Chappelle studied theatre arts in high school before moving to New York City to pursue standup comedy. Despite getting booed off stage at the Apollo Theater's infamous "Amateur Night," he remained resilient, going on to make a name for himself on the New York comedy circuit. Following several successful film appearances in the '90s, including a starring role in 1998 cult classic Half Baked, Chappelle debuted his namesake sketch comedy show on Comedy Central in 2003, finding both critical and commercial success. In 2006 he released Dave Chappelle's Block Party, a concert film set in Brooklyn featuring performances by Kanye West, The Roots, and a temporarily-reunited Fugees.

Great show. However, last minute he added another show (cause first show sold out), so he was only on for one hour. No encore. The venue rushed us out to get the next crowd in. If there was no second show, I feel the it would have been for more than one hour.

Great Show!!!! The DeeJay was great really worked the crowd, the opening acts were funny and Dave Chappelle was hilarious!!!!
Loves all his movies , all his stand up and can watch re runs of his show all day! Easily the best comedian out there. Love that fact he keeps it real and doesnt shy away from contraversal topics.
Dave Chappell has jokes for days. His delivery is the best in the game! He found humor in light of all the turmoil surrounding America's racial tension and divides. Thanks for starting the healing and change process through laughter.
Excellent event only thing I would change is Don't allow beer to be served in glass bottles go to plastic cups.
The acts were great but the event was a bad selection for the people sitting in the back. It was very hard to hear everyone from the echo and bad sound. This especially is disappointing when it is a stand up comedy act.
Dave is the only comedian that has ever been able to evoke a deep, genuine laugh from me. Now he's back and funnier than ever. He had all new material and knew how to engage the audience. My husband and I were in stitches the whole time. I'd love to see him again if he decides to do another tour.
Funny, funny, and then funny. Must go and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
Dave lived up to all of my expectations. Absolutely hilarious!! DO NOT miss this show!
The show was great, and I hope that he does another one in San Antonio. Me and my husband are still quoting some jokes we heard!!!! The only downside we had was an annoying couple behind us that would not stop talking when he was performing......
Great show. Had is in stitches for 2 hours. The comedians that opened for him were also good. Making fun of things ripped from the top news stories. I would see this show again.
David Chappell is one of the most funny people on this planet. His on stage personality and comedic timing is super hilarious. I cant wait until he returns to San Antonio.
Chappelle is as quick witted and funny as ever. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. The subject matter was fresh, very relevant and delivered in true Chappelle fashion...a must see!!
I spent around $270 purchasing 4 tickets to see Dave Chappelle. My friends and family all drove almost 3 hours to get there and couldnt wait for the show.... It must have been where we were sitting because all 4 of us could not understand a single word Chappelle said all night!! The audio was SO AWFUL we literally couldn't hear him. We were constantly straining just to maybe hear some words.. It echoed so bad. So I got up and tried to see if standing somewhere different would help. That did help, but of course I wasnt allowed to stand there so I had to go back to my seat. I was so disappointed because I have been looking forward to this show so much. I kept complaing until I finally received a headset for everyone. That worked perfect, but as soon as I put it on I hear Dave say "Goodnight everyone." I couldn't believe it. Such a waste of money.
Great show. Loved the surprise appearance by David Spade was awesome. Theatre is gorgeous . ♡♡♡
I am extremely disappointed in Dave's performance. Although there were some funny moments, he seemed more interested making sure he wasn't being offensive, and participated in a disproportionate amount of banter with some of the drunken attendees (who, by the way, were told NOT to heckle prior to the show's start).
I bought tickets to surprise my husband for his birthday. I remember enjoying the Chapelle Show on TV. So, I thought he'd be funny. Turns out, it was more like a conversation about recent events that I just had with my friend the night before. He wasn't horrible. Just not special. Not worth the money.
First to say a fight broke out upstairs and Dave was not as funny as I was looking too. He just took about what's happening in the media. I wanted to see acts off of his show.. I wouldnt attend another show. Dave just doesn't have it anymore..
Dave was funny, however, he was only onstage for 45 minutes. If I would have known the show was going to be that short I definitely wouldn't have spent the 70 dollars to go. Even with the opening act, the show was less than an hour and a half.
