Go see a Danzig if you can. It’s a powerful performance. Every show is special. He doesn’t tour constantly so it’s worth travelling to catch a show.
Such a good show. I’m so impressed with everyone who performed. Just amazing 😻
Great show overpriced drinks other than that like I said great show
Danzig, Behemoth, Twin Temple, and Midnight were awesome! Aside from A/C the venue falls into same issues such as super difficult to get food unless your VIP, parking during Red Sox home game means parking cost more than concert tix! Very few bathrooms for the size of venue…. Staff on other hand was incredibly helpful and compassionate.
It was a great show. I loved the small army of metal folk in the very nice casino. I'm fairly certain they've never experienced anything like that before. The first crowd surfer made it all the way to the front & got thrown at the feet of an elderly security guard, just standing there looking slightly confused as to why a gentleman was just thrown at him. They got the hang of it pretty quick. Danzig was amazing. He exceeded my expectations by far. It was my first time seeing him, and I'm glad I got to do it. And for a 68 yr old, the man doesn't have a grey hair on his head. I think he might have played for almost 2 hours. 4 metal horns up from me. Thanks Glenn. Behemoth was also awesome. I ate some BK before the show for mosh pit energy, and drank a few beers to limber up, then some rum to kick thing up a notch. This turned out to be a bad idea. Don't do this. Everything worked as planned, but jumping around & smashing into people had an edverse side effect. I was forced to leave the pit mid set to puke in the fancy casino's fancy trash can. I'm sure the employees were entertained by the bearded metal head, covered in patches, staggering out of the crowd, puke a few times, wipe his mouth, then run back into the crowd of people smashing into each other. I enjoyed sharing the culture of my people with them, as I'm sure everyone else did too. Twin Temple did good. Not really my style & they didn't really fit the flow of the rest of the bands, but still not bad. I think they were probably the biggest shock to the casino employees. They enunciate their words more clearly than the other bands. I think I liked the music to their ending ceremony thing the best. It was very drum heavy, spooky jazz type of stuff. The rest was sort of 1950's do-wop type of stuff i guess? Again, not really my style, but they were still very entertaining & good at what they do. Midnight was great. Very high energy show & entertaining. Not really my style, but also not not my style. I'd see them again. The venue was the fanciest that I've ever been to for a metal show by far. I loved it. The Ovation Hall is in the Ocean Casino Resort. It's a beautiful maze of slot machines, fine dining, night clubs, a smoking balcony that overlooks the boardwalk & the Atlantic Ocean, and many other things that I could probably never locate. They also had the cheapest parking that I could find within the area. I definitely want to go back at some point & have some fun, but skip the BK.
Danzig came out and killed it, sounded as good today as 20 yrs ago, band was tight, setlist after the 1st record had good mix of the next 2 records. overall was a great show.
Very happy with the hospitality at this venue. Kudos to everyone at Ocean Casino and Ovation Hall for being friendly and nothing but helpful. Sound was great and bar service was speedy!
Sound quality of the venue was amazing. Performance was amazing. If you haven't gone to see, you should.
DANZIG delivered!!! What an awesome experience!!! Not a dull moment at all in the entirety of the bands set! Opening bands Midnight were loud as hell, fast paced, full energy and ear deafening good! Opening bands Twin Temple in my opinion probably should have good on before MIDNIGHT only because they were slower paced and almost put me to sleep - they're aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but every song blended together and started sounding the exact same after a while... I like the kitschiness of the band though. Opening SUPPORT band BEHEMOTH did NOT DISAPPOINT! What's even better is behemoth vocalist Nergal sat in the seat in front of us when his band was done to watch DANZIG. My boyfriend went and introduced himself and Nergal was very friendly and receiving of the interaction. Overall great experience! The venue was nice (except for the venue staff standing directly in front of people blocking views). Tshirts were $40 Hoodies were $70 Average tour merch price. Overall... great show. Ticketmaster made it an easy transaction!
I was so impressed with Danzig and his band. Awesome show! I’ve been a fan of his for 20+ years.
An amazing powerful performance! Glenn was in a great mood and his voice sounded better than ever. The band were super tight and sounded as clean and clear as the record. A show I will never forget. I hope this is not the last time Danzig will play NJ.
Absolutely Epic performances from all of the bands! Had a great time, and got to see 2 of my favorite bands. Danzig and Behemoth absolutely slayed the entire time!!! Absolutely amazing! Twin Temple and Midnight were absolutely amazing! Can’t wait for the next shows.
I loved the show and the venue was awesome. Can't wait to experience that more.
The venue was great! We stayed at showboat. We walked to the venue! It was really great. Great music, good friends and a great time. Will definitely see another band there if opportunity arises.
My only complaint was that the bar charged $58 for two double shots. Ridiculous. Danzig was fantastic!
Great set from dancing! His voice sounded great and the band sounded tight. They ripped through all of Danzig I, and then a selection of the best songs from Danzig II and Danzig III. He looked energized and excited. I would strongly recommend anybody who likes Danzig to see him now while his voice is still in great shape and before he stops touring.
I went into this show with no expectations, I had never seen Danzig but always liked some albums. Got my brother, cousin, and a friend along. They sounded amazing. His voice is still fantastic and hearing the whole first album and then another 10 songs from danzig 2,3,4 was just fantastic. Highly recommend if on fence about seeing them.
Great ambient , wonderful place , Danzig with a killer show , Behemoth burning the moshpit
Every band was at the top of their game! The blistering speedy fury of Midnight, the fun "Satanic doo-wap"anthems from Twin Temple, the evil majesty of Behemoth, and the GOAT himself Glenn Danzig with his always excellent band! One of the best shows I've ever been to! And yes, by the end I almost had a migraine, but it was so worth it!
