About

Daniel Sloss: HUBRIS'. The all-new and hilarious 11th solo show by Scotland’s international comedy star, hot on the heels of his ground-breaking, global smash-hit ‘Daniel Sloss: X’, comes to the USA. Pollstar’s June 2021 edition listed 'HUBRiS' as the 5th largest event of any genre, indoor or outdoor on the planet even as the global music festivals were opening up.

His previous incredible ‘X’ tour sold out across 40 countries, with 300 shows including over 30 European countries, UK, U.S., Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and even packing a Moscow arena (becoming Russia’s biggest-ever English language comedy show). The film of ‘X’ is showing on HBO in U.S. and Canada and became the first UK comedy special to make its UK premiere in cinemas, with its nationwide release at Vue.

Daniel’s previous two Netflix specials ‘DARK’ & ‘Jigsaw’ are streaming in 190 countries, 26 languages with the infamous ‘Jigsaw’ now credited with breaking up over 120,000 couples and cited in over 300 divorces world-wide (with fans even bringing their divorce papers for him to autograph at shows). He has sold out six New York solo off-Broadway seasons, appeared on U.S TV’s ‘Conan’ ten times, broken box office records in Edinburgh and toured in 54 countries to date and his book “EVERYONE YOU HATE IS GOING TO DIE And Other Comforting Thoughts on Family, Friends, Sex, Love, and More Things That Ruin Your Life” is published by Penguin Random House.

    DANIEL & ME

by MOOCORNERS on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

Smart, sharp and witty humor. He will be around for a long time. Lost a bit in the language accent, but overall it was fine. A bit moralizing in the end as it was billed as a comedy show. I get it and he tried to place some humor in it, but again I could sense some in the crowd weren't in the mood. Joan Rivers was last comedy show I attended at the Wilbur. Now that was a full evening comedy show. Afterwards at dinner we all said how funny it was. Different type of comedy I know. Comments about Sloss were more specific to a story joke he told. Maybe it's me. I'm 62 and the crowd was much younger and perhaps relates to Sloss in a different way.

Best Comedy Show I've Seen to Date

by Khoots on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

To say the Daniel Sloss knocked it out of the park would be an understatement. Absolutely loved the show itself. Dan was a delight to see and I've already started counting down the days until he comes back to Boston. 15/10 would recommend.

    Extremely funny, not for everyone.

by M. Rivera on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

This is the first comedy show for which I got an email from Ticketmaster making sure I knew that the tone of the show could be upsetting to people in the audience. He really likes to push the boundaries of what can be talked about. If you have seen his Netflix special, you know that he will use death and tragedy as part of his show, not in a mocking way, but definitely in a way that will make you feel uncomfortable. He will also curse, A LOT. But he will be funny the whole time. Not just with what he says, but with his whole delivery. He can really use his body, face, and voice to make a joke land a million times better. If you have the chance to go see him, please do. You will not regret it. Just one thing(that he addressed during his show). Please stop cheering and "wooo-ing" in the middle of his jokes. That is called positive heckling and just throws comedians off their rhythm and messes up their whole bit.

A hilariously brilliant Scots man walks in the room...

    by Marie_nh1 on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

The show was the best comedy show I’ve seen in a long while!! I’m still sore from laughing so hard throughout the show. Daniel Sloss humor is witty, dark, pushes the boundaries, but also does the show in a tasteful/respectful manner with sensitive topics. If you can’t handle swearing and gasp if anyone does swear in front of you this is not the comedian nor show for you. You should also grow up and loosen up a bit. I’ve recommended Daniel Sloss to everyone I know and never had anyone disagree after my recommendation. You need to check his Netflix series Dark and Jigsaw out, and you need to check his tour X that his doing currently. So what are you waiting for people go watch and start getting your tickets!?! P.S.A. please keep your heckling/ wahoo’s at the door or at home when going to see him live. People are there to listen/paid to see Daniel Sloss not your outside sound effects.

    Insightful and Humorous

    by mgarofalo15 on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

Daniel Sloss just gets better with every show. His humor is relatable and feels really honest. He also has the ability to bring light and humor to sensitive topics that help bring awareness and realness to them. The Wilbur is a great venue and I'm glad he sold it out. Keep up the great work!

    Great Comedian, Great Set

by JAZ on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

Daniel Sloss always gives a great set of comedy followed by the saddest TED Talk ever. This was one of the bests. The audience kept interrupting him because they were cheering on his material which broke his flow, which he asked them to stop multiple times but they didn't listen. I think it's a great example of how you tell hard to tell jokes well.

    achingly funny

by Ellie on 3/5/19The Wilbur - Boston

This show was spine tingingly good. Hilariously uncomfortable at times, but with heart and self reflection and biting humor throughout. Still thinking about some of the jokes and some of his final points days later. Can not wait to see him again!

    Bunch of Laughs!

by SoniaRM on 6/14/16Punch Line Comedy Club - San Francisco - San Francisco

The club was small but comfy atmosphere, and the staff was nice and very friendly. The headliner and acts before were extremely funny, and well worth the show. The only downside was the price for drinks and food. The ticket pricing was reasonable, but then you have to pay $13.95 for a small drink. Upsetting.
