  • O'Donnell is even better in person

by Goodoldie on 8/21/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

The Daniel I'Donnell show exceeded the expectations of the four "mature" people who attended the concert (although we were younger than a lot of the other attendees!). We recognized all the songs, thought the orchestra, back-up singers, and Mary Duff were superb also. Mr. O'Donnell further enhanced his image by coming out into the audience and showing us what a "real" person he is. How refreshing to watch a performer who is wholesome and talented AND nice!

We had a great time at the concert. It was a lot of fun and hope you bring him back in the future.

Daniel, Mary and the band were in rare form last night. They gave it their all plus more. They never fail to please everyone in attendance.

  • Amazing Concert!

by jazzisgood on 8/21/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Daniel O'Donnell is a top-notch entertainer. The variety, quality, and length of this concert is rarely seen these days. His band, back up singers, and fellow-star Mary Duff all added to this entertainment value.

  • O'Donnell hit a home run

An absolutely fabulous show. Even though it was 3.5 hours long the time seemed t fly by. He reached out and touched everyone's soul with his personal touch.

  • Beyond my Expectations !!

Being a "virgin" Danny O'Donnell attendee....I have to say that he is one of the BEST entertainers I have ever seen. I am a huge country fan...but will definetely be purchasing tickets again....I bought these for my mother-in-law since she is a big fan...and was thinking how fun it would be for her. I was very pleasantly surprised at what an AMAZING time I had....could have listened for many more hours..

  • Daniel O'Donnell - Fantastic show!

by SueAndDorothy on 8/21/09Target Center - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

My Mom & I spent the extra for better seats and ended up in row 2 on the floor. The show lasted for nearly 3 1/2 hours with an intermission. Final price was over $100 / ticket - and it was worth every penny. He tells a few very interesting and/or funny stories and really puts himself out to please the crowd, dancing, playing around with the band, adding unique touches to each song. He also walked around the perimeter of the floor level seating - shaking hands and giving hugs to people all the way around. He is so very charming and seems to be a truly decent human being. It is obvious that he loves to sing and entertain - everyone in the band seems to enjoy performing. Miss Mary Duff performed 3 or 4 times during the show - very good singer. I wish the two of them would sing more duets - those just seem to be extra special. I will be keeping an eye out for his return to the Twin Cities - wouldn't miss it for the world! Absolutely wonderful! Thank you, Daniel O'Donnell!! My Mom's 70th birthday was unforgetable!

  • Danny Odonnel gave you your money's worth

by drivingmymom on 8/20/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Took my mom to the show as a gift for her birthday. I know she really enjoyed the performance. He sang a variety of music and his partner who signs country music had an awesome voice. She had many good laughs during the show because he was personable and funny. The concert was 3 hours long so he didn't short change anyone. Even though it's not my kind of music I'm glad my mom as well as those around me seemed to have a fun night.

  • Danny Incredible

by lexiem on 8/20/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

The Danny O'donnell concert was incredible. He is a great entertainer, funny with his stories and moves, then gets bashful. Holesome entertainment. Great voice, songs he sings are almost better than original singer on some. My mom wanted to dance on stage with Danny. Mary did a wonderful job also. She has an incredible voice. Best of all they are Irish!

  • Unforgettable Night !

by daRazz on 8/20/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say that already hasn`t been said about a DOD concert. Daniel was in tip-top voice and seemed to be in a story telling mood. And what can I add about Miss Mary Duff other than I love her more and more each time I see her!! Highly recommend seeing at least 1 DOD show in a lifetime !

  • Daniel O"Donnell was awsome

by NTReen on 8/20/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Daniel's concert was awsome. There was a variety in his music selections and the lighting was beautiful. He added humor to his program and shared audience comments. He also took a few minutes to go out into the audience to recognize some special people who were celebrating milestone events. He is truly a very sincere, humble,, and likable man. You can tell he enjoys music and entertaining people. The fact that his band and singers have been with him for 20+ years says a lot about Daniel O'Donnell. We look forward to seeing him perform again.

  • Energy was Exploding

by Flippy on 8/19/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Danniel O'Donnell was fantastic. It is truly ovious he enjoys entertaining us folks. The preformance was so great that I am going to Minneapolis tomorrow to see him again. I do believe we saw a different side of him, more relaxed, even childish at time. Was great he entertained knowing his mom is ill and in the hospital. Loved it. Would be nice to have a video of it. Will return everytime he comes aboard. Keep him coming, Sincerely, Grandma Great

  • Daniel O'Donnell was Unbelievable!

by djlgllgl on 8/19/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

I was not a fan and had never really even heard Daniel O'Donnell sing. BUT..My Mom (nearly 90) is a huge fan. So my sister and I got tickets for her for Mother's Day and the three of us attended the concert last night. I was AMAZED..I enjoyed the show just as much as Mom did! Of course, half the fun was seeing her so excited about seeing Daniel O'Donnell in person. But his voice is truly wonderful and his sense of showmanship is superb. He's a most entertaining guy! I doubt that anyone in his Milwaukee audience was disappointed by the performance put on by Daniel O'Donnell (and, of course the lovely and talented Mary Duff).

  • Great

by jake12 on 8/19/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Very Great Performance! A very humble and caring person. Provides a very personal touch not shown in today's enviroment. At least a 3 hour performance.

  • Daniel was sensational

by Bett47 on 8/19/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Daniel O'Donnell is the most mannerly performer I have ever been around. His concern for his fans is without question one of sincerity. His willingness to take the time to meet and greet his fans and to take pictures with them is extremely gracious. As always his performance was wonderful and one of the longest that I have ever gone to for a concert. He always wants to make sure he gives 100% back to his fans for their loyal support. His dance moves, his jokes, and his wonderful voice make for a very memorable evening. His duet female partner is marvelous as well as our all this band members. The costumes added a lot as well. His Irish jig was great as well.

  • Daniel O'Donnell was WONDERFUL!!!

by Bajld on 8/19/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

I took my mom under duress as I was not a fan until I saw the show last night. He is really an entertainer and he greeted his fans until after midnight, each one personally!! That is unheard of......His show is very diversified, a little bit of county, some Irish songs of course, a tribute to Elvis, and even a polka. I would like to see him again sometime.

  • Daniel surprised me!

by Franny46 on 8/19/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

I would not consider myself a D. O'D fan but I have enjoyed concerts on PBS as well as enjoy listening to a couple cd's that I have of his music. On the way there, I said to my friend that I hoped there would be a good turnout for him because he is such a nice man. Well --- when I got there and saw all those buses and that huge mob of people, I couldn't have been more surprised. I was totally impressed that he started promptly at 7, *almost unheard of to start on time in the music business these days* and we were listening to his wonderful music for almost 3 1/2 hours. He definitely gives you your money's worth not to mention his charisma. I may have to change my first sentence and say I NOW consider myself a fan. I would definitely go to see him again if I have the opportunity. What a great entertainer!
