  • Great Bands, Bad Venue

by Jey on 10/8/21House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 2 out of 5

The concert was switched to the Vanguard in Downtown Orlando within a couple of days of the concert, which to me was a bad choice timing-wise and location-wise. The place wasn’t even close to big enough for the crowd and there was little to no AC. Also, the stage techs couldn’t fix simple issues. Tilian literally said “Sorry this venue is lame” in the middle of the DGD set because they couldn’t fix the feedback his mic was causing when he sung at the front of the stage, which made the band upset too!

  • Great concert, last minute venue change

by Dar on 10/8/21House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Amazing concert! Expected prices for beverages and merch. Line was long at first but door opened on time and quickly people were let inside in an orderly fashion. The last minute venue (house of blues to the vanguard) change made it for a smaller venue with the same amount of people (more people/sf = more heat & covid chances) which is the only reason to give 4 stars.

  • Should not have moved venue to the vanguard

by Knic on 10/8/21House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 1 out of 5

I don't know if I have ever had a worse experience at a show then this one. The band was AMAZING, the venue and their ability to handle the amount of people was not. This was a sold out show at the house of blues and was moved to the vanguard. the vanguard was absolutely not big enough for any type of enjoyment, and i struggle for 3 hours to find a spot where i could see more than an inch of what was on the state. After pay over 100$ and waiting two years, i wasn't about to not see at least part of this show. That meant standing in a sardine packed aggressive crowd miserable unable to enjoy anything. I have been to a lot of shows and concerts, and a lot of venues and this was the worst situation I have seen. Even the lead singer of the band literally said " Sorry this venue exists". That pretty much sums it up.

  • Event needed to be cancelled completely

by Leo on 10/8/21House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 1 out of 5

This event received a venue change that resulted in the worst possible sound coming from such talented musicians. The only instrument heard clearly was the drums, bass or guitars were barely audible. This is a venue issue and not related to the artist’s equipment. Even the lead vocalist for the headliner said “I’m sorry this venue exists”. PS: The venue that this was changed to is called The Vanguard.

  • Outstanding performance. Zero disappointment

by Brad on 10/8/21House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible night. Best performance I’ve seen of them yet. Fill in drummer did an outstanding job. Absolute fan for life

  • Disappointed

by Chris on 10/7/21Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 1 out of 5

I’ve waited about 2 years for this show and purchased 7 tickets for friends and I and unfortunately we weren’t able to make it inside because of the venue rules.

  • Bands great, venue sloppy

by Tina S on 10/6/21Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

VIP entrance was not early as paid for, and the main entrance was also used as the merch area for the headliner, making it difficult to get in. Our tickets were never scanned and bartenders weren't cutting people off. The sound set up and general stage area was fine, but it's a less than enjoyable venue.

  • 5 stars for the bands only

by Jules on 10/6/21Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The show itself was great, the venue however is so bad calling it trash would be a disgrace to trash everywhere. How does one buy VIP tickets that state early access and then VIP ticket holders are let in with general admission? On top of that a person from the venue said to not over think it! I over paid for general admission tickets and would never again buy anything that deals with the completely disorganized venue. Felt totally ripped off!

  • Almost Perfect

by Michelle on 10/6/21Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The bands were amazing, and the atmosphere was electric. You could tell how badly everyone wanted to be there after a year and half of COVID restrictions. However, I bought an ADA ticket, which was for a wheelchair accessible area and no one could help me get to said area, I honestly don’t even know if I was in the correct spot. Nonetheless, I had a great time with my fiancé but our view was subpar. I would’ve loved to sit in the area that I paid for but who knows if that was even possible.

  • Great show!… venue - eh ok

by Melissa W on 10/6/21Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Dance Gavin Dance show was phenomenal! The venue was good but not great… merch was for sale outside check in so every time you had to reshot your tickets to come back in. Would be nice to have merch line inside those doors. No designated outside area. If you left (to get air or have a smoke) you had to go thru metal detectors again and wait in line again. At one point, they had a no re-entry process. The upside of the venue: they checked vaccination cards and ID while waiting in line, bathrooms were clean, and facility itself was gorgeous

  • Awesome show

by here on 10/6/21Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

DGD played all of my favorite songs. Jon and Tillian dance like a bunch of white boys on crack, but it’s so entertaining to watch. All of the openers were good too. Glad I (finally) went.

  • Best show in years

by Dani on 10/5/21Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

This show was exactly what I and I’m sure most other people there needed. The performances were incredible, the lights, the sound.. all of it. 10/10

  • Hammerstein Ballroom

by Angie on 10/5/21Rating: 5 out of 5

The best experience I’ve had in my entire life, for my first concert, the lineup was absolutely perfect, Dance Gavin Dance couldn’t have been any more perfect!

  • Amazing Live!!!

by KS on 10/5/21Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Dance Gavin Dance is amazing live! I still can’t get over it. The only downside was 4 opening bands is a little much. They were good as well though

  • Performance was Amazing but…

by Ruby Roo on 10/4/21Franklin Music Hall - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

We got an email that we needed to be there by 5pm … they didn’t start letting VIP until 6:30 and general admission almost 7 and the show started at 7pm .. I thought that was ehhhh The VIP package was supposed to include a plushie as well we didn’t get that and a signed poster … only 3 out of the 6 members signed . I was sad to not have gotten Will’s or Matt’s signature . Performance was amazing - knowing that Jon wasn’t 100% and he still killed his screams cuz of covid. It was amazing.

  • Awesome concert but VIP information came late

by Ann P. on 10/3/21House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

Bought Ultra VIP through TicketMaster (not resale) Loved the concert but did not receive VIP meeting information until almost 1pm the day before the concert. Not great, considering I had a five hour drive to the venue.

  • Sorely needed after covid

by J man on 10/3/21House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Every band played their hearts out. Special shout-out to polyphia for being so clean and veil of Maya for showing a new song!

  • One of the greatest shows

by Joe D on 10/2/21The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was awesome!!! Small enough that no matter where you were standing, it was perfect. Drinks were stupid expensive, but that’s to be be expected at a show. Between Polyphia and Dance Gavin Dance, it was one of the best shows I’ve been to in the past 15 years. Couldn’t have picked a better show for the first show post-Covid cancellations. Can’t wait for the next one.

  • INCREDIBLE!

by atts on 10/2/21The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

Not only is Dance Gavin Dance PHENOMENAL live but the venu (The Fillmore) was awesome! DGD is my all-time favorite band and the concert surpassed all my hopes and dreams for it! There was a scuffle in front of me when a girl was elbowing people to get to the front and the venu crew handled it flawlessly! Will absolutely be seeing DGD again!!

  • An amazing show!

by amb072893 on 10/2/21The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 5 out of 5

This show was by far one of the best I have ever gone to! Great sound and experience! I will definitely be seeing them again.
