About

Damon Wayans is most fondly remembered for his three seasons as writer and co-star on the Emmy Award-winning series In Living Color. There, he created sketch characters like “Homey the Clown,” “Handiman” and outrageously gay film critic Blaine from “Men on Film”. His writing for the series earned him two personal Emmy® nominations.

Wayans has enjoyed tremendous success in stand-up. After starting his career in 1982 touring the comedy club circuit, he landed a role as a featured player on the famed NBC series Saturday Night Live. Wayans went on to star in his own critically acclaimed HBO specials, One Night Stand, The Last Stand, Still Standing and WayOut.

    It was ok

by jmbells on 3/30/10Damon Wayans - Boston

Damon was ok...he was not ha ha funny just funny. We were not busting our belly's like you would on TV watching him. So we can safely say he does much better surrounded by others to perform...It was nice to see him though...but again not as funny as we thought. His cheat sheet was a good indicator that it might have not gone so well... This was our 2nd comedy show here at the Wilbur. We have to say that the 1st show we we were located in the balcony it was horrible. Talk about thin air. This time we were in the Mazz. A bit better i have to say good views if you can get center seats but hot...anyways Bruce Bruce next and we have ground floor stage seating...

Thought he still had it! It was a great time my husband and I laughed at almost all his joke and found it funny when he laughed at his own.

    Wayans=great Wilbur>poor

by Maxxie on 2/23/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Damon was very funny. The Wilbur Theater had poor seating arrangement- not accurately depicted on their website. Seats WAY too tightly packed. Even his warm-up act was good.

    Damon Rocks!

by ComedyChic on 2/23/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Damon is funny as ever. Great stand up and impressions! No reliance on his famous characters like Homey the Clown or others, just straight, awesome standup comedy act! Rating would've been 5 stars, but the venue is way too tight! Packed in like sardines at the Wilbur theater whether in the balconies or on the floor... =(

He was amazing and with no cursing. I thought he was great, and so didn't the rest of the audience.

Damon has not lost a beat. He is back with new material and funny as ever. I was laughing from the time he stomped on the stage until he gave me the power sign.

    Daymon rocked the house.

by Aluicous on 2/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

He was handsome, charming and very funny. I was laughing so hard, the tears were streaming down my face. Even when he had the nerve to say that he's against hitting women, BUT...maybe Rihanna did something.... He definately has an edge and will tell jokes, or take a certain vewpoint that will make you feel uncomfortable. But, it didn't deminish the overall show. He was great. High energy - and did I say - very funny! Would love to see him again.

Great venue. Loved warm up act, Corey Rodriguez. Wayans is great. Personally, I prefer a bit more current events/ political humor, so it was not all in my sweet spot. But, for what he does, he does it well.

I haven't seen Damon Wayans in 10 yrs and his act was stale. He seemed to curb his joke because the audience was predominantly white. Man up Damon, be funny regardless....it is comedy!

    DAMON WAYANS KICKS ASS!!!!

by BostonLaura on 2/21/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

He NEVER dissappoints, I have seen him live 5 or 6 times now and every show is funnier than the last. The seats were unreal, if I was any closer I would have been on stage with him. Incredible crowd. He truly is an amazing comedian and every time he is in town I see his show (if I am able to make it) If you have never seen him live, keep an eye out for him when he comes to your hometown you'll be happy you went. Non-stop laughter from beginning to end.
