Sadly, there were a couple big "errors" the night I went. I love this show in general and assume this won't be the case again! At the beginning, one of the actors forgot their microphone, Lola forgot the words to one of her songs, and one time that she came on stage, her dress wasn't zipped all the way (like a good 5 inches) I didn't think Lola was a very strong performance in general.
It was entertaining with a lot of good old songs!!
The singing and dancing were incredible. The energy was great. Very fun evening.
We parked where we were guided and my handicapped mother had to climb three flights of stairs plus walk around the building to get in. The 'concession' ran out of everything. The people working there were verging on rude, especially the manager. I would NOT return.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable performance and well done by the actors/actresses and orchestra
Damn Yankees is a great show with a fun story line and terrific music. this was a great production with strong performances by all of the principals, including Josh Gurwitz as Old Joe.
Broadway could not do better than the Pebblebrook Productions.......and I've been there so many times so I can make this statement !!!! Keep 'em coming !!! DEFINITELY AMAZING !
The performing arts students did, as well as, professional actors. They did a amazing job! I'm sure some of the cast will be on Broadway.
The students from CCCEPA are unbelievably talented. The Directors always produce brilliant shows. Costumes were breathtaking.
Just an excellent excellent production. Lots of energy all through the great music. Well cast especially the "devil" character was outstanding. Young Joe was great and one guy (one of the players) who had terrific stage presence and contorted his face in such a way that you could read his enthusiam.
The show was entertaining and the theater was nice.
I loved seeing the Damn Yankees here in Grand Forks ND. I would recommend this event to everyone.
I had never been to a musical theatre before so this was my first one and it was amazing!! It was great and I will recommend it!
A classic theme told in the most entertaining way. Very well done!
Lola's part is so pivotal and poor girl just couldn't carry a tune in a pail. The rest of the cast was very good and carried the show nicely. Lighting and sound were perfect. Orchestra was good. Acting was good, including the part played by Lola. And she had a strong voice with great tone, but she just was a little off-pitch sometimes.
The cast was fabulous! They were funny and entertaining.
This performance was quite good. I have seen this musical several times in different cities including a revival on Broadway. The sets were excellent and the scene changes smooth. The orchestra was solid with just the right volume. The leads were very good with excellent vocals. Some of the lines from secondary womens roles were a bit hard to make out if you did not know the play but that may have been the sound system that did not pick up there voices as well as the stronger leads. All and all an enjoyable experience with a well energized cast.
Great show verry well done. If you ladys are looking for a show to get your husband to go see. What could be better then baseball wrapped around the true love of a man and his wife.
For one thing, the sound system could be much improved when the characters are talking. I thought the group singing and dancing were all much too long each time. We left the theatre at intermission because it was a boring show.
Chandler center for the arts is a little bit more old fashioned but that adds to the charm. The play was good and the singing was amazing.
