World-renowned violinist, author and philanthropist Damien Escobar brings a lifetime of musical talent to the stage in 2022 on his Life Out Loud Tour. He's dazzled audiences worldwide, starting at age 8 as a student at The Julliard School, then as a street musician in New York's Grand Central Station and other locales, all the way to his performance at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama. And now, fans can snag tickets to see this two-time Emmy Award winner and violin virtuoso play his signature blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and classical at venues across the United States.

Damien Escobar Live in Concert

Born in the Jamaica, Queens, neighborhood in New York City in 1986, Damien Escobar was destined for a life in music from a tender age. He began playing violin at the age of 8 and showed unparalleled talent as a young musician. By age 10, he began taking weekend classes at The Julliard School as the youngest student ever to be accepted. His brother, Tourie Escobar, was similarly gifted, and the two later studied together at the Bloomingdale School of Music in Manhattan. Around 2003, the two brothers started Nuttin' But Strings and excited audiences by blending classical violin with jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Damien and Tourie gained fame playing in New York hotspots like Grand Central Station and later won a talent night at the Apollo Theater in 2005. The brothers gained momentum as they landed a White House performance for George W. Bush, made it to No. 3 on America's Got Talent in 2008 and later performed at the inauguration of former President Barack Obama in 2009. By 2012, Damien had stopped performing with his brother and earned his real estate license. However, it wasn't long before music called to him again, and Damien finally made his solo debut in 2012. According to Damien, "It all needed to fall apart so I could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way." And he did put it together the right way because Damien went on to release his first solo album, Sensual Melodies, in 2014, followed by Awaken in 2015, Boundless in 2017, and Songs from a Breakthrough in 2020.

    The Center Stage Theater is a wonderful venue to see a performance. I've been there a few times. Damien Escobar is a great violinist and I enjoyed hearing him play live very much. It was a little corny at times as it seemed he was trying to make females in the audience swoon. That got a lil annoying and took away from his talent and wonderful music. At around 11pm he grabbed a bunch of roses and decided to present women who went to the stage a rose for their very own. I left before he handed them all out. As a musician he's great. Would recommend him to anyone who appreciates those blessed with musical gifts. The added parts to his show however are unfortunate and take away from the performance. Enjoyed the show overall though and would recommend it. Great musician and he had several moments where he was personable and seemed genuine. His opening act Bobbi Storm is amazing. I hoped she would have joined him on stage for a few songs. She has a beautiful, pure voice. They would make a great combo on stage.

    Damien is awesome, he brings the violin to life! Unlike other violinist, Damien adds a magical touch as if he's making passionant love to his violin. Every note, sound-just perfect. Outstanding!!!!!! If you haven't heard of his beautiful relationship with his violin, schedule an appointment by attending one of his shows. Plan a trip outside your hometown, I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Damien's new "Boundless" album is an extraordinary piece of music, must purchase!

    The show was outstanding. Amazing!!.. such a gifted artist. He played the violin like none other.His showmanship was excellent and he did an great job getting the audience to get involved.

    I loved the show. This was my first time seeing his show and he did not let me down. He performed for almost 2 hours and that was much more than I expected. He was very interactive with the audience and not bad on the eyes either. I loved that fact that he embraced community arts and brought students from a local project to perform in his show.

    He give a great performance. He is truly a performer and I just know I am even bigger fan now since the show because I love musical talent but after the show in the AT. You will not be disappeared to go see his show.. I had floor seat so it was even better and he is very interactive with the crowd and everything. His band was amazing. The singer he had on the tour with Bobbi Storm she is amazing too. Okcello you would like him as well. You truly have to broaden your horizon on genre of music to enjoy this show.

    THIS COMPLETE SHOW WAS OUTSTANDING AND DAMIEN HAS TO BE THE BEST EVER AND ALWAYS A FAVORITE UNFORTUNATELY NEAR THE END OF HIS PERFORMANCE I BECAME ILL AND HAD TO GO TO MY CAR BUT I WANT TO SEE HIS CONCERT AGAIN WHEN CLOSE TO THE ATLANTA AREA OR COLUMBIA SC 29615 AREA CODES

    This show was absolutely wonderful!! Damien truly puts his heart and soul into his performance!! I would highly recommend for everyone to go to this show. It is for all ages. I can't wait to see him again.
