About

DALLAS SMITH IN CONCERT:

Dallas Smith first rose to fame as the frontman of alternative rock band Default, but he's sure to rise even higher as a country rock solo artist. He's already earned comparisons to Keith Urban and Jason Aldean, and fans lucky enough to catch him live will have no trouble seeing why he's country's hottest new addition. Feel-good, hook-heavy anthems like "Trippin' Point" and "Slow Rollin'" are tailor-made for summer party soundtracks, and Smith delivers them perfectly at his live shows. A natural showman who delivers fast-paced, energetic performances, Smith never fails to have ticket buyers dancing in their boots all night long.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.

He is such a fantastic entertainer - I have never been disappointed in a show! It’s awesome to know all of the songs and he is very personable with the audience. You just kinda want to sit down and have a beer with him

by Cz on 6/6/22Sandman Centre - KamloopsRating: 4 out of 5

Only think I would change is bar settings up , line ups took way too long , beer wasn’t cold enough … I was at rogers arena concert this year and they sold ice cold corona and other beer on a can so much better than wasting plastic cups and lids . Staff was still amazing and the music was epic

  • Great concert, venue short staffed

by Knockout on 6/5/22Sandman Centre - KamloopsRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was suoer awesome!!! But the venue was short staffed and only had a couple drink places open, feel like it made the experience a little less great as almost no good available and super long lines for drinks/food

  • Pure Talent

by jjj on 6/1/22SaskTel Centre - SaskatoonRating: 5 out of 5

The energy on stage, the clear controlled vocals, and audience engagement made for such an amazing concert. The entire line up was nothing short of amazing (Jojo Mason, Kelly Prescott, Megan Patrick, Shawn Austin, James Barker Band and all the bands!). Hope to see these artists again in the future!

  • Great show

The whole evening of music was amazing! From the opening acts of Manny Blu and the James Barker Band, then if that wasn't enough Dallas Smith also had JoJo Mason do a solo and Meghan Patrick sing a couple songs!!! All were amazing artists and great singers!! It was my first time seeing Dallas Smith and he did not disappoint!! What a great performance. We definitely got alot of bang for our buck!! Alot of fun, great crowd!! Will definitely go again!!

The concert depended on and variety and talent. A great change from video montages and pyrotechnics

  • Too many openers

by Ricky on 5/31/22Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5

Dallas smith was amazing, but he had way to many opening acts. By the time JBB came on, I was tired, bored and ready to leave

  • Dallas was awesome!

by Melissa H on 5/30/22Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Can't say I cared for Manny Blu, but the rest of the bands were awesome! There were a lot of opening acts which made it seem like Dallas Smith didn't sing as long. Jojo Mason & JBB were fun and entertaining, Meghan Patrick and Kelly Prescott's voices were amazing. Dallas was energetic and wonderful.

  • Dallas Smith at Brandt Centre

by Angie on 5/30/22Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 4 out of 5

Dallas Smith and guests were amazing, acoustics were not though. The building is clearly not designed to facilitate this

  • The music and stage show was amazing and a lot of fun

by Gooser on 5/30/22Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 5 out of 5

Dallas smith puts on amazing show always and interacts with the crowd great. James barker band is going to be a headliner real quick, amazing music and Megan Patrick voice and energy is great👌😊. All and all great performances

  • Terrible Sound

by CVA on 5/30/22Brandt Centre - ReginaRating: 2 out of 5

The sound from our seats was terrible. Music overpowered vocals, and all sound was distorted due to the volume it was played at. Enjoyed James Barker Band and Dallas Smith, but earlier acts were poor.
