DALLAS SMITH IN CONCERT:
Dallas Smith first rose to fame as the frontman of alternative rock band Default, but he's sure to rise even higher as a country rock solo artist. He's already earned comparisons to Keith Urban and Jason Aldean, and fans lucky enough to catch him live will have no trouble seeing why he's country's hottest new addition. Feel-good, hook-heavy anthems like "Trippin' Point" and "Slow Rollin'" are tailor-made for summer party soundtracks, and Smith delivers them perfectly at his live shows. A natural showman who delivers fast-paced, energetic performances, Smith never fails to have ticket buyers dancing in their boots all night long.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Vancouver-born Dallas Smith launched his music career as the frontman of post-grunge rock group Default, who enjoyed considerable success in the early '00s with their hit single "Wasting My Time". Despite the group's success, country music beckoned to Smith, and in 2012 he released his solo debut album Jumped Right In, a collection of guitar-driven country jams that landed five singles on the Canadian Hot 100. Smith racked up award nominations including Country Album of the Year at the 2013 Juno Awards and Male Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Album of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. If 2013 wasn't busy enough he also embarked on a sold-out Canadian tour with Bob Seger, played alongside Jason Aldean, and signed with Republic Nashville. His first U.S. single "Trippin' Point" was co-written by Florida Georgia Line's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard and went platinum in Canada. Smith finished 2014 by touring with Florida Georgia Line and working on his highly anticipated sophomore album.
This was my first time in this venue and my first time seeing Dallas Smith!! It was an absolutely good time!!
The line up was great. The only thing that I want to suggest is that the background music of the 1st performer was to loud, it drowned out her voice. The second performer was great. Also, for Dallas Smith, he was terrific, would recommend that he does come back. Would definitely come back from out of town to come to another concert performer. Had a front row seat, it was great š
Dallas Smith was awesome. The sound was pretty bad though especially in the upper level. The Expose Centre is not ideal for a concert, we canāt down and stood by the lower rail and the sound was better there.
The acoustics were terrible. Could hardly listen to the music prior to the performances. Sounded like the amps were bottoming out. I thought it would be corrected before the show started. No! The poor acoustics took away from the performances. Music was too loud for Teigenās voice. Could not hear her at all over the instruments. Tylerās music/ voice balance was much better. We left after the second one. My adult son wanted to leave part way through Teigen. I did too but told him we had to stay for Tyler Joe Miller at least. I am wondering if this is the case for all performances at the Expo Center. I am reluctant to try another performance there. If there would have a refund desk at the entrance I would have definitely headed there. This was a birthday gift for my son. He loves all County music. Do disappointing! We went to the performances outside at the old racetrack about 3 years ago. Sound was awesome!
Amazing Concert!!!! The venue was a great experience! Sound and lights were great and as for Dallas and Nate, just Wow!
That was amazing concert, my best friend and I came againā¦. Love watching/listening to you perform. Fantastic
Concert was amazing sound was great Could have used more bar service and served liquor not just coolers and beer
I think every time he gets better and bette. One of the greatest singers and most talleneted. Gets the whole crowed into it. Being front row he even gave me the signal to toss him my phone and he took a pic with us in the background. YOU THE MAN DALLAS. Iāll be at every show around
Performance a 10. Stage presence, like no other! Sound was great and Dallas Smyth rocked as a happy awesome vibed group. Thank you all for rocking the stage that night! I certainly hope to have a chance to hear and see you all again.
All the performers preformed amazing and their presence on stage was very enjoyable
Loved loved loved this show. Want to go again and again
Dallas Smith was terrific as always! However, seat upgrades need to be managed differently. The show wasn't sold out so Live Nation started handing out free upgrades to move the crowd closer. There's something wrong when I paid $120 for my section 202 seat and my daughter who paid $20 gets upgraded from section 400 for free to the pit. There must be a better way to respect the fans.
More information on parking would have been nice. Getting in the building was amazing, so fast and efficient going through security and scanning tickets. Lots of options for getting a drink. More bathrooms would have been nice, but that's a common problem. Music was a little too loud, someone once asked me if the music was good at a concert or if it was just loud, the music was good but you don't want it to get painfully loud.
Talk about waiting forever for the main act. Iām all about openers but 2 hours worth was a little much. And to make things worse, during the hour and some main set, three different individuals sang songs while the main act stood aside: again Iām all for letting up and coming artist play but the folks payed to see you not every Tom Dick and Harry. Iāve seen Dallas before and this wasnāt at all what Iām used too. Disappointed
This was an amazing evening! I loved everything about it! Sad to see they ran out of Palm Bays but it was a busy night! And by the looks of it only 1 stand had hot dogs! Concert wise, it was perfect!
It was an amazing night!! All the artists Dallas Smith brought on this tour are extremely talented and very down to earth. Everyone of them are for the fans!! New and old songs were played and everyone sang alone!! The VIP experience was one of the best parts of the show but just being in the same room and same area to see and hear the music live was long awaited after the 2 1\2 year dry spell!! I will most definitely be seeing the artists again!! š
It was a great experience. Great seats, met new people. Jbb and Dalais was fantastic.
Dallas was amazing he was so in tune with the crowd he played my request wasting my time oh man cant wait to see him again
It was a great concert wow thatās all I can say I couldnāt ask for a better time with my bff we had a blast
The performers were all well prepared and entertaining. The acoustics were awful and the volume was way too high to be able to enjoy or hear the singer.
