Outstanding play! Well done. Unfortunately, this even has not been well publicized.

All of my group of 4 really enjoyed this production. The leads were wonderful, great voices. The music was great too. Loved the set. Hope it makes it to broadway!

Daddy Long Legs was absolutely amazing! This was my mom's favorite childhood movie and the fact she was able to see it live was unforgettable! Thank you so much for providing us with some classics and those actors were truly perfect...it felt as if you were intruding on their love story towards the end. I would most definitely even go see it again! Thanks!

More than amazing. . .! Went to see it Thursday matinee, October 20th, and went back for the evening performance, Saturday, October 22nd. That says it all.

The entire experience was very well done by very talented performers. The entire audience appeared to be enthralled.

It was amazing that 2 actors could captivate a stage with so much passion and realism. It was a great story, with a great ending.

One of the best dates ever. This was a great show... music, emotion, funny.... Much more than I anticipated.

Granted I was not familiar with the book, maybe the musical is true to the book. But the anti Christian, anti church, anti capitalist, pro socialist message was far too much for my taste. The femanist lines were fine, not too much, and an issue at the time. The talent was very good, both parts were played very well. I did not notice any mistakes, which is immpressive to me considering the amount of acting and singing required for a 2 person musical. One thing that was missing was a real chemestry between the characters. The orchestra also did a great job, again no flaws in the music. The theatre is very nice, intmate and comfortable. Very good venue, but I would reccomend a differnt performance, if socialist, anti capitalist political statements annoy you.

I hadn't heard a thing about this play before I attended....just looked at reviews here...and I am so glad I went! The two actors (yes only two!) were so wonderful. Great music, very sweet and full of emotion....in fact, I am going to try and see it again before it leaves the Gem.

I had high expectations for "Daddy Long Legs" having read the four-star review of the show in the Detroit Free Press, but - surprisingly - it exceeded my expectations. The actors were fabulous. The show was quite funny and very, very charming. I'd say it's more of a coming-of-age story for Jerusha Abbott - so it's good for couples, but great for the gals!

Loved Daddy Longs Legs. It exceeded our expectations. The two actors had lovely voices, were great, and carried the play beautifully. I'm going to buy the CD. The four of us enjoyed ourselves, men included. We're fans of Mr. Gordon from his Jane Eyre days.

This was a great musical, with very talented actors. Appropriate for all audiences. Go see it and support the Gem!

A refreshingly sweet play. Two very talented performers, one set and a lot of entertainment.

What a wonderful surprise to see this fantastic musical in the very intimate setting of the Gem Theater in downtown Detroit. There were only two actors, and both were amazing! The musical score is beautiful and I downloaded it immediately from ITunes as soon as I got home. My husband and the other couple we were with also thought this was a great production. Although I am not one to see movies, plays, tv shows etc, more than once, I would absolutely see this again! Do yourselves a favor and go see this play!

So enjoyable! Great characters and the voices were superb.

I laughed, I cried! Never expected to like it as much as I did. The leads were perfectly cast and very talented. I was entertained every minute of the performance.

Can't wait to see again! Plan to bring my girls next time I go. It was a superb night out (and far more affordable than some of the other show venues).

Two person musical - the actors were wonderful - enjoyed listening to all the songs -the plot was easy to follow and understand.
