D.C. United History
D.C. United dominated the early days of MLS. They appeared in the league’s first four championship games, winning three of them, and added a fourth title in 2004, all before the league was even a decade old. They were dominant under the leadership of their first coach, Bruce Arena, from 1996 until 1998. He won 56 percent of his games in D.C., by far the best mark of any coach in team history.
Between 1997 and 2007, the United earned four Supporters’ Shields for best regular season record and claimed three U.S. Open Cup trophies in 1996, 2008 and 2013. The team’s alumni include a league-best four MVP recipients: Marco Etcheverry in 1998, Christian Gomez in 2006, Luciano Emilio in 2007 and Dwayne De Rosario in 2011. D.C. entered a new era with the arrival of English star Wayne Rooney in 2018. United's 2018 debut season in Audi Field was a success thanks in large part to Rooney.

D.C. United at Audi Field
D.C. United spent the first 22 years of its existence playing in Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium. In 2018, United moved into a sleek, soccer-specific stadium called Audi Field, which, at the time, was the most expensive in MLS history. United's long-standing supporters' groups include the Screaming Eagles, La Barra Brava and the District Ultras.

Always have a blast coming to Audi field. Since I live in North Carolina and now having Charlotte FC closer to me I still support DC and rather drive the extra hour to watch games at Audi Field. Every seat is a great seat! Will be back when in town!
Had a great time with the family and it was a bit cold but worth it
Beautiful stadium, beautiful atmosphere, amazing staff. 100% recommended
I finally decided to purchase tickets to a DC United game. With the pandemic stopping everything, we haven't been to a game or a sporting event since 2019. It was fun to finally be back. I took my son that just turned 5 years old and he had our section (110) rocking and chanting DC UNITED!! While we were there, we got food and drinks and everything was as good as sporting event food gets. Can't wait to go back. The stadium was not packed, maybe because it was a school/work night (Weds) but it was still a great time.
eTicket check was super smooth, the stadium is clean and beautiful. Great unobstructed views from literally every seat in the stadium. Absolutly great time.
Only drawback is really long lines for food. Mobile ordering is nice (but i seem to forget about it onsite). We like that the food is better quality, but anything you consider to make kiosks more efficient would be great.
I have been to 6 or 7 DC united games. Audi field is newly built, and not a bad seat in the house. Big enough to create high energy and not gigantic with massive crowds and nose bleed seating. I have always had a good experience with the staff, and the food and drink is decent. Overall they do a great job and my family and I really enjoy the DC united games at Audi Field.
I had front row seats and view was amazing. I could see whole field perfectly.
La Barra Brava provides the best energy in D.C, they are up 90 mins a game and being a part of that is amazing. I will definitely go back again.
I went with my dad to this game and it was a great experience from beginning to end! I like how organized the stadium is in regards to the process of checking in and going about the stadium as well. Everyone was friendly and attentive. It was a great atmosphere and we will definitely be returning soon.
I Changed my phone number and it erased the tickets and all
Great atmosphere and lots of fun couldn’t have asked for a better game!
Electronic Tickets were easy to purchase had no issues getting into the game. Access to stadium was easy via the Metro. Beautiful new stadium and terrific seats. Too bad Wayne Rooney did not play due to illness but we saw Zlatan and was glad DC United won due to some fabulous saves by their keeper Bill Hamid.
Great atmosphere, excellent way to spend a Saturday night
This review is for a US Open Cup game, not an MLS game. If you want to go to a game and have a good time without it being super crowded, I suggest going to a US Open Cup game at Audi Field. You get to experience the atmosphere of a normal MLS game without the crowds that are normally found there. As it is first come first serve for seating, I suggest picking your seat(s) early if you go to the US Open Cup game if you want the best views. There are plenty of vendors for food and the game itself was really entertaining. If you have nothing to do on a weekend, I suggest going to a game just for the atmosphere that the fans create.
Jalen Robinson autographed my sons hat and then I caught his jersey that he threw up in the air!!!!
Audi field is a great venue for soccer, but they must do a much better job controlling/expediting traffic in and out. It was a mess. On the field of play, until MLS gets professional referees they will drive lot a fans away. After watching English Premiere League Saturday mornings and then seeing what MLS offers, it can be tough to watch the product. People don’t come to see refereeing and poor game management.
Great seats at the Half-way line. Great result DC 5-0 RSL. Rooney got a hat-trick.😄
It was exciting and that D.C. United manage to defeat the defending MLS Cup Champions as the only shutout game in the first week of MLS 2019 season.
