About

Cypress Hill has long represented the will of the people. With over 18 million albums sold worldwide, the Los Angeles trio of rappers B -Real, Sen Dog and producer DJ Muggs have continued to push rap's boundaries since their inception in the early 90s.

With their eponymous debut album in 1991, B -Real and Sen Dog established themselves as one of rap's most potent duos. Their creative phrasing, distinctive voices and graphic subject matter, coupled with DJ Muggs' atmospheric, piercing and dusty beats, propelled the trio to international superstar status.

In 2010 Cypress Hill will release their 8th studio album, ‘Rise Up' produced by Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, and featuring the talents of Pete Rock, Daron Malakian, Mike Shinoda, Apathy, Pitbull, Marc Anthony and more. ‘Rise Up' is the trio's first release under the Snoop Dogg administration at Priority Records.

As the years have passed, the crew's dynamic stage show - bolstered in 1994 by the addition of percussionist Eric Bobo (also of Beastie Boys fame) - has evolved into one of raps most polished, as such intense tunes, ‘Insane In The Brain', ‘Rock Superstar', ‘How I Could Just Kill A Man', ‘We Ain't Goin' Out Like That', ‘Lick A Shot' and ‘Real Estate' translated perfectly to the stage. Given this reality, it's little surprise that Cypress Hill remain a major concert draw, even when they take time off between albums.

In 2010 Cypress Hill bring that legendary live show to Australia for a national tour and to headline the Coaster Festival at Gosford, on the NSW Central Coast.

Rise Up is in store now through Priority Records and EMI Australia.

Wow, were you guys that tired or stoned that you could only play for an hour...seriously? The party was just getting started when I looked down at my phone as we were walking out at 10:30...love you guys and went to last years show at the Fillmore...but this year, you stole my money!!!

A "high" spirited perfomance that mixed more old with new. B and Sen were on it on the old school stuff. New stuff needs some work. Rise Up, the title song of the new stuff, is a keeper. Crowd and venue were excellent. Great people watching. Hope to see them again same time, same place. "Uncle Green Thumb Wants You"

That was by far the best concert I've been to. From the opening act to the final song, it was bananas.

  • As always the Cypress Hill delivers

I have been doing this Halloween concert for 10 years and it is always one of the best live performances I experience. If you have never gone to a Hip Hop show and want the real experience......Cypress Hill's stage show is something to really experience. Even if you do not like Hip Hop, you will still appreciate the energy this group brings to ever show. Anyone who has attended with me over to this event has always bothered me around Halloween and asked....Are we going this year. For me Cypress Hill ranks among groups like AC/DC, Black Sabath, and Wu-Tang as just a handful of artists you need to see live. A must see....hands down!!!

It was my third year in a row seeing their Halloween Eve show at the Nokia, and they get better every year. Everyone was on point, the bongos were puming, the dj spun and scratched like I have never seen. The raps were flowing and tight. This year I would say the show was a touch whimsical with a nice latino flare. Loved every song. Most of the songs they played were hits and the entire place was on it's feet.

  • Cypress rocked!

Always a great show. They get the crowd moving although they came on a little later than I would have liked. Lords of Brooklyn opened up for them and got the crowd hype. The 2nd act wasn't as good and brought the crowd down a bit, but Cypress lit it up once they came on. Great way to spend Halloween Eve every year.

  • Kicked Ass!

CP still has it even after all these years. It's been 13 years since I last saw them and this was definitely memorable! peace
