About

Cypress Hill has long represented the will of the people. With over 18 million albums sold worldwide, the Los Angeles trio of rappers B -Real, Sen Dog and producer DJ Muggs have continued to push rap's boundaries since their inception in the early 90s.

With their eponymous debut album in 1991, B -Real and Sen Dog established themselves as one of rap's most potent duos. Their creative phrasing, distinctive voices and graphic subject matter, coupled with DJ Muggs' atmospheric, piercing and dusty beats, propelled the trio to international superstar status.

In 2010 Cypress Hill will release their 8th studio album, ‘Rise Up' produced by Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, and featuring the talents of Pete Rock, Daron Malakian, Mike Shinoda, Apathy, Pitbull, Marc Anthony and more. ‘Rise Up' is the trio's first release under the Snoop Dogg administration at Priority Records.

As the years have passed, the crew's dynamic stage show - bolstered in 1994 by the addition of percussionist Eric Bobo (also of Beastie Boys fame) - has evolved into one of raps most polished, as such intense tunes, ‘Insane In The Brain', ‘Rock Superstar', ‘How I Could Just Kill A Man', ‘We Ain't Goin' Out Like That', ‘Lick A Shot' and ‘Real Estate' translated perfectly to the stage. Given this reality, it's little surprise that Cypress Hill remain a major concert draw, even when they take time off between albums.

In 2010 Cypress Hill bring that legendary live show to Australia for a national tour and to headline the Coaster Festival at Gosford, on the NSW Central Coast.

Rise Up is in store now through Priority Records and EMI Australia.

I have seen them several times on or around Halloween and it is always a fun show. They played the whole Black Sunday album. The show was lots of fun and smelled great.

  • Halloween special

by Rulo on 11/1/10Best Buy Theater - New York CityRating: 5 out of 5

Again, what can I say that I have not said before, Cypress Hill always throws an awesome show and they came out doing classics and new stuff alike. This time the show catered to the audience with treats at the bars along with a great crowd. It was a safe event and just fun as always.

  • Cypress Hill - Boring!

by LauraASH on 11/1/10Best Buy Theater - New York CityRating: 1 out of 5

Not sure what happened but I've been to this show three years in a row now, and this show sucked! It was slow and boring with no energy. And I was totally offended by them pimping their video that was being shot after the show! I paid for a concert now a video promotion. Also, the video screens in the Best Buy theater never showed video of the band while they were on stage - what's up with that????

  • AMAZING SHOW

by GoldNi0020 on 11/1/10Best Buy Theater - New York CityRating: 5 out of 5

Halloween only means one thing HAUNTED HILL! The best show of the Year, Cypress HILL throws down. they played the entire Black Sunday Album, which bands are playing full albums, not many. If you only go to one show a year, make it Haunted Hill!!!!!!

Concert was O.K....played some new songs I wasn't thrilled with. Security was not as good as the Nokia Theatre.

by jakbrwn on 8/18/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I was blown away by the guys proformance. They just came out and delivered nothing but the hits. The set was really tight and they all sounded as good as you'd hope. Will definantly see these guys again.

Great venue for this show...Would highly recommend venue to all

  • cold, windy, and off-beat

by adazz on 5/24/10Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

It was too cold, windy and the band volume/bass/trebble were off-beat. For $35 - the price was steep- no chairs, no order- just chaos and low-sound quality.

  • by BIGRO on 5/24/10Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

After all these years they still put on great performance. All the old and new fans had a great time. Even though very windy, outside pool venue was perfect setting. A MUST SEE!!!!

  • What a comeback!!!

  • Cypress Hill Rocks!

by TelicoFarmer on 5/13/10The Palladium Showroom - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The smoke was thick and sweet. Cypress Hill was on fire and the crowd was jumpin'! The whole show was ELECTRIC. Its the best show we've seen in Dallas in quite some time.

  • Cypress Hill is back!!!!

    by Osorio8 on 5/13/10The Palladium Showroom - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Cypress Hill played a set over an hour which contained many hits and classics. I was surprised they played "Latin Thugs" I felt almost like I did in 1993 when I saw them once with Funkdoobiest and House of Pain. They got the crowd going and were in tune with them. The DJ did a pretty good job, I would have like to have seen DJ Muggs behind the wheels of steel (just to have all the original members back). They did their newest song, "Rise Up" and reminded the audience that they were back.

  • Cypress Hill in San Fran on 420!! Need I say more?

by PhillyJoe on 4/22/10The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show overall, and the venue was awesome too! It was definitely a sedated audience but the boys got us all up out of our seats on numerous occasions. They mixed it up nicely with some old and new stuff so it didn't disappoint anyone. It was an experience to say the least.

  • M.I.A. DJ MUGGS
