About

Cypress Hill has long represented the will of the people. With over 18 million albums sold worldwide, the Los Angeles trio of rappers B -Real, Sen Dog and producer DJ Muggs have continued to push rap's boundaries since their inception in the early 90s.

With their eponymous debut album in 1991, B -Real and Sen Dog established themselves as one of rap's most potent duos. Their creative phrasing, distinctive voices and graphic subject matter, coupled with DJ Muggs' atmospheric, piercing and dusty beats, propelled the trio to international superstar status.

In 2010 Cypress Hill will release their 8th studio album, ‘Rise Up' produced by Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, and featuring the talents of Pete Rock, Daron Malakian, Mike Shinoda, Apathy, Pitbull, Marc Anthony and more. ‘Rise Up' is the trio's first release under the Snoop Dogg administration at Priority Records.

As the years have passed, the crew's dynamic stage show - bolstered in 1994 by the addition of percussionist Eric Bobo (also of Beastie Boys fame) - has evolved into one of raps most polished, as such intense tunes, ‘Insane In The Brain', ‘Rock Superstar', ‘How I Could Just Kill A Man', ‘We Ain't Goin' Out Like That', ‘Lick A Shot' and ‘Real Estate' translated perfectly to the stage. Given this reality, it's little surprise that Cypress Hill remain a major concert draw, even when they take time off between albums.

In 2010 Cypress Hill bring that legendary live show to Australia for a national tour and to headline the Coaster Festival at Gosford, on the NSW Central Coast.

Rise Up is in store now through Priority Records and EMI Australia.

Awesome show and actually got to meet and take pics with Sen Dog. Husband is a huge fan and it was the perfect venue. Only drawback was they went on stage late.

  • Cypress Hill at HOB San Diego:

by Spliff69 on 4/20/14House of Blues San Diego - San DiegoRating: 5 out of 5

This joint totally blew me (and audience) out. My first House of Blues (HOB) concert and its got it all ! What an intimate venue, in which I can't believe CH could play. As this a basic small stage setting no real props set up (i.e., the inflatable Budda); but who cares ? It was the music and artists we wanted.... and the bare bones set showcased them. Did they deliver !! I was really blown away by Breal's physical conditioning...at least 30 pounds lighter than he looks on video, the Smokebox, etc. And man did he move....prowling that stage without stop. The voice was better than I could imagine too. These guys seem to have frozen time in place, as Sen-Dog is strong as ever and his baritone voice kept the dominant punch to foil B's nasal tone to perfection all night. The early placement of Insane in membrane caught me by surprise, but I totally see making the finale Rock Superstar. The mini-stoner set of Wanna get High, Hits from the bong, Dr Greenthumb and Illusions was sweet too. My only wish was that they could add a reprise verse to Tequila sunrise--one of my favs--but just too short :( Sound quality excellent too, you could actually make out the vocal lyrics perfectly---something VERY rare for Rap group shows usually. Another cool thing was the L.A. >> S.D. coastal vibe....pure Cali connections going on for this native state band from up the I-5. Sure hope B keeps the promise to make San Diego an annual stop....especially with the new album coming out.

  • Cypress Hill: The Greatest Of All Time

by PaisanoRob on 12/19/13Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

It was our first time at Howard Theatre and it was legit. I've seen Cypress dozens of times all over the country. They once again, killed it as expected. They've never disappointed since day one and they're STILL outdoing the majority, if not all acts in the game.

  • cypress hill killed it

by Elmoe on 11/4/13Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 4 out of 5

I fanally got to see Cypress Hill. The Hill is still strong. They hit all of my favorite Cypress Hill songs ...Hand on the pump. Kill a Man..Lick a shot ..Basically joints from the first three albums. Sin Dog shinned with a couple of latin flavors too, also nice! Can't wait to see them again. BANGIN!

  • Cypress Hill kills it - as always!

    by djeep421 on 11/4/13Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Cypress Hill I don't even know how many times now, but certainly tens of times (20 - 30). They always rock whether its a stadium or a small club, but they always bring a little extra for a D.C. Halloween show and this was no exception. They totally killed it! Played most of their first self-titled album and about 3/4 of Black Sunday. They also hit several off of Temples of Boom which is my personal favorite. Anyway, the show was awesome! Don't EVER miss a Halloween Cypress show if you can help it!! Smoke DZA was tight too!

  • Classic!

by MrSee on 11/3/13Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Cypress knocked it out the box! Last time I saw 'em was back in 97 or so when they came to Nissan/Jiffy Lube for the Smokin' Grooves Tour. This show was way better! I prefer the smaller shows & Howard's the spot! I like that it's general admission & you're free to move a around. Good layout, excellent audio/visual, handicap accessible, great bar staff, & an overall very laxed atmosphere.

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Moshhell on 11/30/12Best Buy Theater - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This is the third time I attended Cypress Hill's Haunted Hill at Best Buy and it seems like they get better every year. They are so energetic on stage and they sound amazing!!!!!!!! They don't overcharge for tickets like most bands. Best Buy is a great place to see a show. The sound is fantastic and there are no bad "seats." Complaints.......let's see..........just one......I wish they could have played for 5 more hours!!!! Great show!!!! I do have one more complaint.........I have to wait 11 months before they come back to NYC to perform!!!!!!!!

  • Classic Cypress Hill!!!

I have been going to see Cypres Hill since i was 18, now at 32 they still keep rocking. This show was more like a private performance and the crowd was great. Because the origional show was cancelled due to the storm (Sandy) wich hit NY and changed so many of our lives it was great to be at this show. i wish i could personally thank Cypress for not canceling this show i would not have been able to bring some of my friends to experience it for there first time. We had a great time and iu cant wait to go again with more old and new friends to there next show.

  • cypress hill was da bomb....

If you love the first two cd's then you'll really enjoy the show! They played everything but one song I like from those cd's. I wish I would've heard more from the 3rd album though and I did enjoy the new stuff too!
