About

Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

  • Paid extra for preferred parking

    by Jais4nu on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

We didn't have to pay at the gate but the parking helpers did not let us know where to park for preferred parking. They also told us there was NO handicapped parking which is illegal. After we moved to the correct parking area we saw the ADA parking. It was hot as hell so we decided not to move the car for a third time. What a mess!

  • Fantastic Concert!!

by 80s Girl!! on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Jake Wesley Roger's had a wonderful voice and I loved his songs. Cyndi Lauper is ageless. She was energetic and her voice is still as awesome as ever. Her stories are amazing as is her interaction with the crowd. Cyndi played our favorite songs and some newer ones. Azura was a great outdoor venue for this event. Very organized and just a lot of fun. Highly recommend this venue and the show!!

  • Lots of fun and good music

My girlfriend and I had a great time even with the heat.

  • It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

by JLux on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

I purchased a front row ticket based on the schematic given. When I got there, they had added two rows in front of row A. It was annoying. I paid for front row so I wouldn't have to worry about people standing up in front of me. I don't always want to stand at a concert. I should have been given the option to change my seat. I wasn't the only one who went to the front row, only to find out they were now in row 3. Jake Wesley Rogers was amazing. He is such a good performer and singer. I would go see him as a headliner. Cyndi Lauper doesn't really sing well anymore. She is a great performer, and I loved her stories. But, she was off-pitch a lot. Fortunately her backup singers are really good, and she had a great band. Also, I could tell that, even with the fan on stage, she was miserable with the heat. (We all were, LOL) BUT, it was nice to hear SEE her on stage.

  • Fun and inspiring

I've seen Cyndi in concert many times and one is better than the last one. Please don't make this your last tour.

  • Very good

by Anastasia on 8/12/25Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Interesting show with a lot of dialogue and outfits. Lead guitar was amazing. I had really good seats. Venue was far location but nice. Loved that she had an ovation guitar but unsure if she really played it. Voice was out of this world amazing. She sang beautifully.

  • Hot

by Bigb on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

great show and showmanship. I think 🤔 with the 100 degree day -Could have used some misters too keep people cooler. Still was a awesome show-That never wanted it to end.

  • Azura Amphitheater

by Julie on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Great experience. It was awfully hot but Cind Lauper was great. The spectators were always calm no outbursts. Vendors friendly. My first time there.

  • Cyndi Lauper still owns the stage

by sfarrill on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Hotter than Hades but what a cool experience! Cyndi Lauper was FANTASTIC!! A true legend! A few times Cyndi appeared to be glowing... seriously, her costumes and the lighting simply turned her into a flaming white neon being! As for the venue...It would have been great if both sides of the stage had a concession stand open. The heat and the walk around was excessive for a lot of folks and unnecessary. I believe refreshments sales were missed by folks in the lower lawn and sections 10-14 for this reason. We're old now, help us out!

  • She Still Has It, but Not All of It

by DavidAtTheShow on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, it was a good and entertaining show. Her voice still has the quality, but not the strength...but she is 72! The bad thing about this show was the sound. It was HORRIBLE! Cyndi's voice was completely drowned out by the music. Perhaps that was by design due to her voice strength, but it did not sound good at all.

  • Truly Spectacular

by Anna S. on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi DELIVERED! It was more than I ever imagined. She is so true to herself even after all these years. I've loved her since 1983. She gave (well, back then girls) like me empowerment and made me feel like it's okay to have fun and express who I am. Thank you for the opportunity to see you at least once before you retire. Worth every penny.

  • Girls had FUN

by Deb on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Cyndi with four of my 65 year old girls- friends since high school. We loved it! And her. So engaging with her commentary. Her music is so true and uplifting. She is a gem.

  • Cyndi Lauper Rocks at 72!

by Andrea on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself was amazing! But the lack of breeze made the heat insufferable. One in our party had to leave due to heat exhaustion. Perhaps some large fans would be great to prevent heat sicknesses.

  • Still Great

by Barney on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

At 71, Cyndi Lauper doesn't just sing her hits. She belts them out with the power and emotion that comes from a lifetime of experience. Inspirational.

  • Excellent concert

  • Fun, fun, fun!

by Mindy on 8/12/25Azura Amphitheater - Bonner SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Cyndi Lauper did not disappoint! Her voice is still amazing and she and her band put on a great show despite the extreme MO heat.

  • Awesome concert

by Darlene on 8/11/25Ruoff Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great time first time seeing her unfortunately would love to see again

  • IN rocks

by Debbie on 8/11/25Ruoff Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was impressed with Cyndi and her entire band. She looked and sounded awesome, especially foe being 72. She sounded almost the same as she did when I saw her in 1986

  • Cyndi was awesome! Ruoff however...

by Michelle on 8/11/25Ruoff Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Everything about Cyndi Lauper's farewell concert was spectacular from the songs, singing, costumes, and especially the art installations! I wish I could see this show again. Cyndi sounded amazing and her bandmates were a lot of fun as well. Ruoff Music Center - if you are going to charge ridiculous prices for food items the least you could do is not server subpar food! I got an order of chicken tenders and fries, my friend got a side of fries. Neither of us could finish. The food was cold, the fries were oversalted and limp. I should have known there would be an issue when I walked up to the counter and saw the food was already prepared and sitting under a heat lamp. Lesson learned. Also, slow down the speed of the menu screens!! The menu was on the screen for maybe 20 seconds before it blinked to a series of advertisements. I couldn't read fast enough and had to sit through several cycles on the screen before I figured out what I wanted. At least have the menu shown continuously on at least one screen in the food stand.
