CROWDER IN CONCERT:

When it comes to fun and worshipful concert experiences, few acts come close to the inspiring live shows of alternative Christian rock favorite Crowder. David Crowder has been treating audiences to his spiritual blend of indie, bluegrass, folk, and electronica for nearly two decades, and his ability to move audiences through music and prayer reflects his abundance of experience as a performer. Whether he's playing favorites from his days with the David Crowder Band or lifting spirits high with cuts from his chart-topping 2014 album Neon Steeple, Crowder always leaves audiences in awe on his unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Texas-born David Crowder got his start as a musician with the church, undertaking music ministry duties while attending university in the '90s. Crowder formed a worship band and began performing in an effort to attract more college students to services, and before long the David Crowder Band had landed a deal with SixStep Records. Their 2002 debut album Can You Hear Us? peaked at No. 17 on the US Christian Albums chart, establishing them as a vibrant new force within the Christian rock community. Crowder went on to release five more albums with the band, topping the Christian charts three times and achieving crossover success with albums like 2012's Give Us Rest -- a No. 2 hit on the Billboard 200. After the group disbanded in 2012 Crowder ventured on as a solo act, topping the charts once again in 2014 with his solo debut Neon Steeple. A humble and inspiring performer, Crowder continues to move concertgoers on his critically acclaimed tours. Over the course of his career, Crowder has played venues such as the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, the Arizona Federal Theatre in Phoenix, and Madison Square Garden in NYC.

    Crowder & company up close!

    by Rebeccam1 on 3/15/13Howard Theatre - Washington

Great night, excellent music, worshipful and downright fun! David Crowder with a talented group of musicians in a smaller venue but giving a big concert sound. It was all good, from the new songs to the older, including Hank Williams' 'I Saw the Light'. Crowder called it like a night in his living room, or on the front porch. Would see them again anytime, it was fantastic.

    A Good Show, Overall

by Anonymous on 3/13/13Newport Music Hall - Columbus

At the end of the day, I enjoyed David Crowder's show. There was a good variety of instruments used, and all of the songs sounded really good. My favorite part was when he played How He Loves and After All (Holy). Crowder was very funny onstage and interacted a lot with the audience, but he would pause to talk for several minutes after every few songs, and I felt like it made the concert somewhat disconnected. I would have enjoyed the show more if he would have played more music and spent less time storytelling.

    Great Experience!

    by Carrie12301 on 3/13/13Newport - Columbus

My husband and I saw David Crowder at the Newport Auditorium in Columbus OH. It was an AMAZING experience! It felt very intimate with the theater only holding 1700 people. The music was fantastic and Crowder is absolutely hilarious! It felt like we were all old friends getting to hang out. We attended the meet and greet, Crowder is so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I doubt he has ever met a stranger in his life. I recommend this concert to Christians and non-Christians alike. I don't think anyone will leave this concert unchanged! :)

    Crowder is Awesome!

by CrowderFan1 on 3/11/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

David Crowder and company put on a great show as expected. Between his humble story telling and great music along with is message of hope and salvation, I found myself full of joy and inspiration. Is opening band "Songs of the Fall" was amazing as well and was a perfect start for the night. I would love to see both acts again. Thanks David!

    Just Perfect!

by Anonymous on 3/10/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

Awesome show! The venue was nice and intimate. We had seen Crowder before in a large setting but enjoyed this even more! The opening band, Songs of the Fall, was good. We purchased their CD afterward. David Crowder and band were funny and most importantly, entertaining. We loved the bluegrass sound and the variety of instruments- accordian, resophonic guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, cello, upright base, drums, steel guitar x 2, guitar, etc! I would recommend this show to anyone and everyone!

Great Show - Crowder Gone Country

by IndyPassionFan on 3/9/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

Crowder plays a lot of his classics along with some Crowder-ized hymns and some of his newer stuff. Great show! Crowder's personality is also great. I only wish they could break into more of a full band feel for some of the old DCB classics. But sounds great none the less!
