    ragweed rocks !

by naughtystella on 8/5/09Tractor Tavern - Seattle

Cross Canadian Ragweed was great. I was front stage and my ears are still ringing! No really, the band is energetic and soulful in a southern rock and roll way. They played for almost 2 hours and I never got bored. Nice change up when the lead singer did some solo songs to give the rest of the back a break. The audience was very familiar with the songs and there was lots of audience interaction. Actually they were different than I expected, much harder rock and roll, but I absolutely loved them. Will definitely try to see them again. The Tractor Tavern in Seattle is a great little venue, standing room only to the sold out show. The vocals could have been mixed in louder......

    Cross Canadian Ragweed kicked ass!

    by Jase44 on 8/5/09Tractor Tavern - Seattle

First of all, I want to thank them for making it up to Washington. They were one of the bands I like that I never thought would make it up here, much like Randy Rogers Band and Jason Boland and the Stragglers. Both of those bands are coming up here too. CCR put on a hell of a show with absolutely no disappointment. Now all I have to figure out is if I'm going to go watch them in Oregon coming up here shortly.

    CCR rocks!

by lukeandsher on 8/5/09Aladdin Theater - Portland

We loved that the opening act was a local band. This was my first time seeing Ragweed, but my husband's 3rd. He is a big fan and turned me on to them when we met. The venue was small enough that there were no bad seats. Which is very important to me. I only go to concerts if I know I will be able to see the stage, because otherwise, what is the point? Overall, we had a great time. The only disappointment was that he wanted a hat and I wanted a tank top, but neither were available :(

    Ragweed really rocked!

by SeriousRagweedFan on 8/5/09Tractor Tavern - Seattle

From the minute they walked on stage, the energy ramped up high and stayed there through the entire performance! A nice variety of their music--some old, some new, some wickedly funny!

    CCR was excellent !!!

by Ranger205 on 8/2/09House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Was amazed at the performance. Wade Bowen opened the show and he was fantastic as well, but the guitar work of Cody was increidable. Always wanted to see them in Dallas but never made it. When we found out they were at the House of Blues in Vegas while we were going to be in town for a vacation we had to go and they didn't disappoint.

    Another awesome CCR Show

by VegasGeek on 7/30/09House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Last night we went to the CCR show at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. On our way in we stopped off at the merch table to hand off our USB bracelet so we could get a copy of the show. Selling sound board recordings of the show for $15 is such a brilliant idea. I'm a little surprised more bands aren't doing this. Wade Bowen opened the show playing an hour long set which was surprising since the show didn't start until 9. Normally the HOB likes to kick people out of the place by 11:30, so I was expecting a shorter set by Wade. I'm not too familiar with his music, but will definitely be adding some to my iPod soon! CCR took the stage around 10:30. I was expecting the HOB to fill up a bit more than it did by the time they went on. The didn't even open the balcony, instead they had black curtains drawn around the entire top part of the club. Don't get me wrong, I was happy to have the floor space available and not be packed in like sardines, but, I'd also rather they were selling more tickets to make sure that Vegas remains a stop on their tours. The show was excellent. We've seen CCR at several venues here in Vegas, in Utah and Idaho, and there is definitely no better place to see CCR play. The sound quality in that place is second to none. So take an already great sounding band and put them in that venue and you basically have a "Can't Miss" scenario. During the show Cody mentioned that they won't be doing the cruise again for a while and instead will be doing some sort of "Destination Vegas" thing. He didn't say much about it, but holy crap is that exciting! So it sounds like we'll be seeing a bunch of you here in our town next year! Looking forward to the next CCR show! Cheers!

    Great Band!!

by nmred on 7/17/09Grizzly Rose - Denver

Finally, I got to see them live. The group was great. Though they seemed to be a little disconnected from the gig. Maybe just road tired. Dislikes: The opening band (Don't even remember the name) played as long if not longer than Ragweed. In my book, that's a NO-NO. I don't pay good money to hear a second rate band. Will I see them again; Absolutely.

    Ragweed was absolutely awesome!!

by RivertonWYfan on 7/17/09Grizzly Rose - Denver

I have been trying to get to a show for almost 10 years - they did not disapoint! They rocked the house for over 2 hours playing the greats and a few off of the new album. I will travel the 350 miles (1-way) to see them again ANY time! They make it well worth every penny spent!

    Cross Canadian Ragweed never disappoints!!!

by Bish on 7/16/09Grizzly Rose - Denver

Ragweed just continues to amaze me with the passion and energy they bring to their performances show after show! These guys have the magic that continues to attract and expand their fan base across many age groups. I especially appreciate the fact they do it their way and despite being shunned by the record industry, they continue to pack the house and sell records. If you haven't seen them yet and you enjoy rock/southern rock, you are missing out big time!!! I grew up listening to Skynryd, Marshall Tucker Band, etc... and these guys are right there with them. Keep bringing CCR back to Colorado!!!
