  • Creed was worth the time and money

    by tommyboy4321 on 9/1/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The first two bands Into the Storm and Hoobastank were OK. I can only say I feel they got the concert started. Creed made the show. There seemed to be earnest feelings expressed abot the reunion and the time away from playing as a band. I enjoyed every bit of it. I hope they keep playing and tour again. Great music and they did keep playing, great pyrotechnics, even other visual effects that just added to the enjoment of it all. It was not just some guys on a stage yeling for you to enjoy them it was an all out show that honestly impressed me and I was expecting much less. Very pleasantly surprised.

  • Excellent show, with an excellent ensemble.

I have been a huge Creed fan since I was a freshman in high school. (This was in the year 2000) Creed was the first band that I discovered for myself, and I was hooked from that point on. All around, it was an unforgettable experience for me. The opening band, Like a Storm, put on an excellent four song set, and got the crowd pumped and going for the next band, Hoobastank. I even went as far as to go purchase the EP available for Like A Storm at the merch stand. Hoobastank rocked as well, even playing a cover of the perennial favorite "Ghostbusters" theme song. Creed came up with the speakers cranked all the way to eleven and rocked the house. Along with a good listen at their first new single, Creed played a solid mix of both old and new(er) hits, with plenty played from their first (and Best!) album..which was a bit unexpected for me. Right before the encore, the entire audience was shouting "we want Creed" And they most certainly delivered. Scott Stapp seemed genuinely moved by the hot crowd, which only served to make the concert more enjoyable. This concert was 9 years in the making for me, and was well worth the wait.

  • Creed was awesome!

by awesomedad on 8/31/09verizon wireless amplitheater - NoblesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was my son's first concert and it was great to see that a band can still ROCK OUT and not cuss at all. I really applaud Creed for keeping it clean. I was a fan before they broke up and now my son and I are both fans. The performance and stage show was awesome. The band has never sounded better. I would definitely see them again.

  • Creed rocked!

by Lilarnie on 8/31/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Each and every one of the band members gave it all they had for two solid hours. We heard old stuff, we heard new stuff. Scott Stapp's voice is amazingly powerful. They never took a break, and he was just as intense after the fourth encore as he was on the first song. I can't wait for their new album to come out in October now!

  • awesome!

It was great to see creed again after all these years. It seemed like they were really into it. They sounded great, Scott's voice was right on. They played all my favorites. Even heard a possible new fav. Hope to see them again soon!

  • Creed still sounds fantastic!

    by Boats8898 on 8/31/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

They dug out some old stuff and mixed it with the newer stuff and really gave an exciting show. Scott and the boys really sounded as good as they used to! Would have been nice to hear some new tracks though...

  • Great show!

by Thunderbolt on 8/31/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

I've seen CREED in 2000 and 2002, and both rank in my top 10 best shows in my 20-years of attending concerts. Scott Stapp's voice was rough for the first 7-8 songs, it was clear he has lost a step or two. But when they kicked in to "What's This Life For", he connected with his unique ability to make me believe in the song and the moment; and that's what he's best at. The show was incredible from then on. Say what you will about the spiritual nature of his lyrics, but when Scott Stapp takes it back to church, you feel honored to follow. Mark, Phillips, Brian, and the new guy were all incredible, but I'm also a BIG Alter Bridge fan.

  • Creed on my honeymoon!

The night I met my husband at a bar, I dared him to sing karaoke. He dedicated and sang 'With Arms Wide Open" to me. Now 4 years later we're married and went to this concert on our honeymoon! It was fantastic.

  • Creed good, but opening bads not so much...

by omgitsmp on 8/31/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

Ok, so we had no idea there were two opening bands or we would have just waited to go. The first did a pretty good job but were totally unknown to those in our party and the lead singer kept repeating "you guys rock!!" so much that it was obviously fake enthusiasm. We did think it was a good effort on their part to go into the crowd for a meet and greet after their set, though. I WISH someone would tell the guys in Hoobastank to fire their sound guy. We couldn't hear the vocals at all and we were just in the middle pavilion. They seemed to get really irritated that not many people were getting into their songs but how could we when we couldn't hear the words??!! Then the lead singer yelled, "you guys are ridiculous!" because no one would sing along to an unknown song of theirs. Also, they has NO banners on stage so if you didn't already know who they were you were just lost. That was weird. So we were totally ready by the time Creed got on stage. They were awesome, as expected. They played almost their whole first album which I loved. Their state setup was AMAZING. The only complaint we had was their transitions between songs were weird. They'd finish a song, the stage would go black, then he'd start singing another song. We would have liked a bit more audience interaction just because it's been so long since anyone had seen them. Scott really didn't talk much at all through the whole concert. Disappointing, but not a deal breaker. Would definitely see them again.

  • see this band

by schweitzer on 8/31/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

i saw creed back in 2000 and thought they were awesome then. you have got to see this band now. scott stapp had so much energy on stage and his passion for his lyrics can't help but make you believe in his inspirations. his songs are timeless. one can't brag enough about tremonti. no one has written hooks like that since the beatles (not comparing him to the beatles but you know what i mean). I can only imagine that every boy dreaming of being a rock guitar god practices tremonti's licks. don'f forget about scott phillips and brian marshall. often the unsung and forgotten members of any band these two really pull it all together. there is a real balance to this whole band. i believe creed has achieved the greatest feat of any band - immortality. their music will be revered long after all of them (and myself) are dead and gone.

  • Creed at Blossom Music Center Cuyahoga Falls 2009

by Healthman on 8/31/09Blossom Music Center - Cuyahoga FallsRating: 5 out of 5

I saw these guys in 2001 and was so impressed with their sincerity and dedication to the audience. Again now 8 years later nothing has changed (except Scotts' long hair is gone!). These guys put it all out their, giving it 100%. These guys are so musically sound it's apparent they truly love the group and making music for the public. Their songs are inspirational in a time of Liberal Left smut. I wouls see them again any day. RD

  • CREED is BACK!!

by JaredWard on 8/31/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Wow...well I'll keep it short & sweet, CREED is indeed back! The place was PACKED front to back (including lawn) & the guys didn't disappoint! A ton of energy & an amazing set...I don't think I could've asked for a better show to be honest...Pyro was insane! In closing it was very surreal seeing these guys back on stage together...I literally had goosebumps the whole night, it was like they never left! Incredible...

  • Damn good show!

    by andyd81 on 8/30/09Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

The pyrotechnics, lighting and overall energy from the band was over the top and made me forgive and forget that they have been gone for over five years. Scott Stapp and the guys brought a invigorating outlook on what is to come from their upcoming album, even if they only played one song from it. (Overcome)They played all the good songs that brought them to stardom, as well as some songs that were not constantly saturating the radio waves in years past. A very entertaining show from start to finish!! If you are a diehard fan or want to be pleasently surprised, go see Creed. They are back and in full force! On a side note, Hoobastank and Like a storm also did a great job as well. They warmed up the stage nicely and brought a lot of good head banging energy.
