    Ferguson rocked the joint . . .

by SherryAnnEH on 1/25/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

The Aladdin Theater in Portland was a great venue for Craig Ferguson's comedy - intimate but big enough for a good sized audience. Craig's seemingly "stream of consciousness" comedy style is always entertaining and sets up a great rapport with the audience - maybe TOO good . . . there were a couple hecklers in the crowd who seemed to want to be part of the show (of course, since they serve beer & wine at the Aladdin, that could be a factor...). Craig's warm-up guy, Randy Kagan, was very entertaining too, filthy but funny! Of course, the group lip synch/dance was a great crowd pleaser, but I really enjoy how Craig manages to insert some of his personal "wisdom" into the comedy.

    Ferguson is hilarious

by kwiffy on 1/25/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

Theater is a bit funky and seating is first come, first seated - not assigned - but the venue provides a more personal experience. Ferguson is very funny, very quick witted, and seems to enjoy performing. We Yanks have to pay close attention to hear and understand everything he says, but the effort is worth it. Much funnier than better known comics. Should be reserved for adult audiences.

Craig is much funnier on stage without the censorship he is subjected to on TV.

    Craig Ferguson rocks!

    by Skeeter808 on 1/25/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

This was my second time seeing Craig Ferguson, and he was equally hilarious at both shows. I love the fact that Craig makes himself laugh! This was a great show in a really intimate venue, and I would recommend his shows to anyone who wants a great evening of laughing!

Craig Ferguson was better live than on tv

We were laughing the entire show. He was the best live comedy show I have seen in years.

Craig Ferguson gives a great performance

    by jrs11 on 1/25/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

Craig Ferguson gave a solid one hour stand up performance. He had a opening act comic who was certainly good but the real star is Craig. If you watch his late night show and enjoy it, you will enjoy this too. The Aladdin Theater is not as charming as you might expect from an old theater. It hasn't had the care and love big dollars would provide. It is certainly a small performance hall and therefore nice from that perspective. But, I have to wonder what's been done on those seats over the last 75 years! Craig is a stand out. I'd prefer a nicer venue.

From the moment the lead-in act took the stage to the ending dance sequence, this performance was AWESOME!

    AMAZING!

by evamagick on 1/25/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

Craig Ferguson is smart, witty and HILARIOUS! I thought I was going to pass out because I was laughing so hard! The venue was so-so, it was really hot in the balcony. But Craig was amazing! So glad I went! Also enjoyed the warm up comedian. Will definitely see when he comes through town again!

My cheeks still hurt from laughing. Craig is an original gem. (And, his warmup act rocked as well.) It was great to experience Craig uncensored--he's so adorably crass !

    Craig Freaking Ferguson

by sloride8 on 1/23/10River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

Craig did what his TV always promised. A no holds barred stream of consciseness examination of life today. The only other person that I can think of that can do this is Robin Williams. A truly excellent show.

    Craig Ferguson

by ploc36 on 1/23/10River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

Craig was wonderfully funny from start to finish. Definitely worth going as you are seeing another side of him that's not in his nightly show. The down side was his portion of the show was only around an hour, very short for a comic. Wonder if it has anything to do with the added show, as the 800pm show was sold out very quickly, thus they added a 1000pm show; as the turn around is only 45 minutes, (800pm show ended 9:15pm) we could have been short changed? Opening act was a non event; wasted 15 minutes.

Craig is of the wall, so slick and hysterical

by WeeWilly1 on 1/21/10Jack Singer Concert Hall (ECPA) - Calgary

Craig Ferguson in person, is even better than his late night show, he is so fast and so funny. He is at the top of his game, his jokes are never lame and His expressions and comments make me laugh continously, ....so much that your face and stomach hurt from laughing so hard at his antics. Only thing missing was an appearance by Wavy, that naughty little allicrocodilly!! Well done Craig, you are truly an artist!

    Unprepared and hasty...

by disappointedbear on 1/21/10Jack Singer Concert Hall (ECPA) - Calgary

When you do comedy, ya need to be prepared! Randy Kagan, one of the TWO opening acts, appeared not to have even seen his material before he tried to perform it. Brutal. When people are paying money, at least have the courtesy to try to learn your material. Jeb Fink, the FIRST opening act (as if we needed three comics, when we'd all come to see Craig) presented hackneyed material (at best). Boring. I love Craig's late nite show and his personality on it made me want to see him live. However it doesn't quite translate, and you can tell that he too is out of practice. His (NOT EVEN AN HOUR) performance was rushed and it seemed like he was yelling more than he needed to. The material was really excellent in some spots and really weak in others (the pointless jabs at Kate Winslet and the meandering recall of a Kevin Costner sex scandal that nobody cared about). TOO SHORT, TOO RUSHED, TOO LOUD! Too bad....for us.

You either love him or hate him... Loved him. Only bad thing. Ended quite soon. Didn't have an encore and didn't even say goodbye or thanks Calgary!

    Ferguson was average

by Stryder on 1/21/10Jack Singer Concert Hall (ECPA) - Calgary

Craig was funny but he never really got the gut busting laughs I was expecting. At about 50 minutes it was shorter than what I paid for. Canada is cold in the winter - we know that - so it a formulaic attempt. His opening act was a numbskull but may have actually had a couple of the funnier jokes other than himself. Jebb - Calgary loves you we know you will land on your feet.
